Engine restore oil additive and the multifuel

That's good to know, thanks ! So I don't need to stock pile some CP-3 pumps right ? It sounds like most problems are all programing issues. That and filling the cooling system. We had that issue with the new Hybrids on the 40 footer buses. They had the main radiator and the reservoir tank was...

    Windshield pivot assembly bolt removal.

Are you talking about the "wing bolts" that tighten to hold the windows open ? If so, they are "crimped" to prevent the bolts from loosening and falling off. Use a good penetrating spray and work it loose that way. Then go and buy new bolts. "Eriks" and "White Owl" both sell the bolts.

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

Spot on ! Especially the China part ! I only use "Synthetic" grease anymore. It takes a long time before it even starts to think about separating.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

This sounds like you'll have a real good hi-way rig ! The NP241 isn't that bad of a transfer-case, and the NV4500 is a pretty good transmission. Not as strong as that SM465 your replacing, but strong enough.

Engine restore oil additive and the multifuel

So your telling me the sales staff lied to me about my seats cooling system ?!!??!?!?! Can't trust anyone anymore !!!! Actually that is a relief since I know what it takes to repair HVAC systems and I didn't want to attempt to repair that thing if it went bad. So my truck is a 2019 model with...

    Crane Ideas?

Yes, that is a very nice crane. Now how are we going to get it mounted on my deuce ? ;-)

Dual wheels on front of a deuce

I never get tired of watching this short video clip !

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I'll have to look. I bought them two years ago and only installed them last spring. The thread pitch is 14 , but I cannot remember the hole size. 1.0" or 1.25" ?

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

Some of the "early" boots on my 1954 REO's had rubber coated leather. All the boots after have all been rubber I believe. So "aleigh" , if you had a pattern you could make up some boots out of "Cordura" ?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

After you get the plugs out, you should consider buying some of these "Fumoto" drain valves. All you have to do is turn the lever and out goes the oil. I have had no problems since I installed mine this last spring. Makes changing the oil a breeze !

Is that a pump model ?

    Crane Ideas?

I think the way he has it is better then capping the bottom. This way the debris will just drop out since there is nothing to hold it in. It's when you hold stuff in or create pockets to catch the crud that rust happens. Good job "Jbulach" .

    Crane Ideas?

That is a slick idea ! I think I might have to copy it for my deuce.

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

Hey I was wondering if you tried to make up some boots ? I truly think that idea of making them out of a 1000 Denier Cordura would be a fantastic idea ! I would buy a set right now ! In fact I would probably buy three sets from you. Remember temperature is not much of a concern on the axle...

    Crane Ideas?

I like your idea of having two cranes like that ! Did you need to add a plate under the one on the bed ?

Engine restore oil additive and the multifuel

I wasn't referring to you. There are plenty on this site who feel if the OEM manufacture didn't use them then they are not needed. They fail to realize times change as does fuels and oils . Sad to say, but your probably right about the new diesel engines life expectancy. The new ISL and ISC and...

Engine restore oil additive and the multifuel

It was designed by Bosch for the European market. Technically it is "suppose" to be able to run "ultra low sulpher" fuels, but the reality is it cannot. The clearances where too "tight" to meet US emission standards. Without a lubricant in the fuel (like sulpher) it basically would eat it self...

Engine restore oil additive and the multifuel

It's the CP4 pump that cannot handle "ultra low sulpher" fuels. The CP3 pump works fine on them. For all the people who like to bash those who use additives I would just like to say "Ignorance is bliss" . Having worked on diesel engines during the change over to "ultra low sulpher" fuels and...
