DOT 3 and DOT 5 will separate. If you do have cross contamination between DOT 3 and DOT 5 then you really need to replace "all" the seals. Every wheel cylinder and brake master cylinder and air-pack needs new seals installed.
Everyone here provided you good information so I'll just give some personal experience. I've used PTO winches in the woods when I was working as a "yarder" for a logging company. All day running chocker cables. Yes PTO winches can run all day long without any break but you cannot ! Also as was...
Go to "Summit Racing Parts" and buy an "adjustable" proportioning valve. That way you will not lock-up your rear brakes and possibly have an accident. Also as a plus, you can fine tune your stopping ability since no vehicle is identical. The factory just aims at the middle ground and hope it...
Yep. You learn fast about proper grounding up here. I have run individual grounds to each of my body panels and frame and dash. All connect back to the battery. I got that idea from working on our buses here. They all have "ground bars" throughout the frame. That way any electrical component has...
Thanks Gerhard. I never knew how to access that. I would leave feedback since they would send me a notification in my "PM" in-box, but I never knew how to access it without the message being sent to me first.
I just went to the "profile page" . There is a lot of stuff there !
What you fail to understand is the "Rockwell" differential is a "double reduction differential. One end has a "spur" type of input gear, just like most winches do. They do not turn easily from the other end (the big gear) that in turn goes to the input gear, so your trying to turn two types of...
Never use "Acetone" to flush out any brake system. Acetone is used in the production of rubber seals but only as a "release" agent as it "softens" the rubber. Also never use alcohol to clean out a brake system. If you need to flush the system to get out debris then use the brake fluid it had in...
For one that only applies to venders here. I'm talking about companies like "Memphis" and "Eastern" and such also.
Second . How many here even know of that feedback score ? If it had it's "own" area like the vehicles and manuals do then maybe people would pay attention to it. As it is I don't...
I really kick myself for not buying one or two when I could. Now they are just in the ridiculous price range ! I also should have bought a couple of M105 trailers too. There even asking to much for those.
I'm totally behind a "warning" system here for companies that have screwed over their customers. We need to know as a community when this happens. I have bought things from some of these companies thinking they must be OK since they advertise here or mention Steel Soldiers on their websites. I...
Never used them, but if there like all the others they are made in china too. Not many OEM boots left anymore. The newer silicone ones are really good. Just be careful as they can rip real easy !
