Thanks for the epilogue. Lesson learned, CUCVs should not be considered reliable until considerable preventive and predictive maintenance has been done. The injector pump seems to have a 10? year life between overhauls regardless of usage.
You will need to narrow down electrical or fuel issue. Put a voltmeter on the solenoid power lead at the injection pump to eliminate that cause. Then chase fuel issues.
Diboll TX whatever you do, don’t speed through that town!! Yup FD’s love to whack frames, my LWB deuce which also came from the Texas Forest Service had a similar frame whack. The only time I part out a truck is if it’s rusted to bits. Don’t give up on it.
Might have 30,000 but injection pump could be 36 years old and its full of plastic parts that break and then it won’t run. Maybe where you are is a repair shop that specializes in diesels, get it towed there and kick back in a hotel room while they fix it. It’s about a half a day work to swap...
If nobody responded that tells you nobody knows where to find one. I sure don’t. They used to show up on ebay for almost $300. That was years ago that I was looking and gave up. Yes the sender is the same as civilian.
