What did you do to your deuce this week?

I had to reread your post as Reds up here ! I was thinking "what is going on ? " then I see this was a few days ago.

    LD/LDT vs LDS Hydraulic heads

I'm so sorry I forgot to answer your question from yesterday ! I got caught up in my explanation to "squirt truck" . I'm not sure if it would change the timing since it seems the buttons main purpose is to take up the clearance like a "selective thrust-washer" does in a transmission. Of course...

    need help with m35a2

You say you replaced all the motor mounts correct ? Then you have a bent frame as you should have plenty of room there. What year is your deuce ? Does it have the large plate that the front mounts set on or the newer style ? That large plate can get bent. There was a fix for that in the PM...

Brake fluid leak at banjo bolt on air-pack

Don't give up yet. Just like Yolner mentioned it could be the flare on the line itself or the actual housing of the air-pack could be cracked. Either way don't stop until you find it. The problem could get worse. It could mean "life or death" for you !

Torque multiplier....I won't leave home without it.

Then you never had a lug nut that took over 1000 ft Ibs to break free. I have had several do that. Nothing funny about that I can assure you. That is also why I have taken off all my lug nuts and cleaned the threads and reinstalled them all with "Anti-seize" . Also a standard 1" breaker bar is...

    LD/LDT vs LDS Hydraulic heads

I think I need to explain the reason I said that the amount of fuel has nothing to do with timing. A given amount of fuel has a set amount of potential energy. So when your going down the road with "no" load you only need a small amount of fuel (energy) to keep the engine turning at a set RPM...

    LD/LDT vs LDS Hydraulic heads

All the later injectors have two holes. One small and the other noticeably larger. One throws a mist out and the other a stream of fuel. So that totally negates your injector issue. The Multifuel engine works by creating a "slow" burn thus being able to burn such fuels as engine oil which...

Question replaced fuel pump Mep 003

The line suppressors could have gone bad, so don't throw the pump away until you check it.

    MEP 003 Hard To Start

I believe the "manifold" glow plugs come on when cranking but the "head" ones only come on when you turn the switch to them.

    Moisture in brake system

That is why you are suppose to bleed out the brakes every two years. I don't believe in completely draining all the fluid, but a little bit out of each wheel cylinder (and master cylinder and air-packs) is perfectly fine. This keeps the water from pooling there.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The newer "vinyl" ones came in "Woodland camo" , "Desert Camo" , and "Artic Camo" that I know of. There might even be more.

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

That there rock is a windshield breaker for sure !

    LD/LDT vs LDS Hydraulic heads

What about my question on the injectors popping sooner could that cause advance? Yes it could. It's just like advancing the spark in your gas engine. Both cause early ignition of the fuel. Also thanks for the kind words.

    Moisture in brake system

What most people don't understand about the air-dryers desiccant is that it has a "shelf" life. It starts when it is first exposed to the atmosphere. You need to replace it every year if driven daily or the very least every three years even if it just sets. That is the major reason I went with...

    MY Airpack Rebuild with Photos!

Well that can be a problem but the most common is the shaft seal leaking into the air-chamber. There is also the problem with the control piston. This is the actual device that controls the air pressure to the booster. It can stick in it's bore due to rust and corrosion.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Now that is a good positive spirit ! I think ? Either way you have to set yourself goals !

MEP-002A No Fuel and DC Breaker Popping

Boy do I know what you mean ! If you work inside with no windows you never see the sun !

    Moisture in brake system

I wouldn't do it. My old 1954 REO's had them but like I said you would be better served with a air-dryer. At the transit agency in the early 1990's we would run "ethylene alcohol" in some of the buses (those built in the 1970's that did not have air-dryers on them) . Then a few months later we...

    Yes.

    Moisture in brake system

The deuce doesn't need any air-line anti-freeze if you drain the tanks like the TM says to do. I would not add any "ethylene" based fluid in the air system period. In fact most all manufactures have totally gone away from air-line anti-freezes due to the caustic effects it has on the air valves...
