    MEP-831a will not start.

Suggestion.. Disconnect the white connector in the two wires going to the actuator on the engine. Lift the actuator off the magnet. Pull start the engine using the compression relief. The engine should run at a relatively low RPM. If it's running at a high RPM then there is an issue with the...

The kloppk WiFi Module Thread 802A/803A

One of the two wires is tied to +24 volts thru a 3.3K 1/2W resistor. So yes, one could monitor the sets battery voltage by measuring the voltage on that wire to determine the sets battery voltage to trigger a restart if the sets batteries voltage gets low. The second wire is connected to a 430...

    mep 803 help

Could be due to poor contacts in the S6 or S8 switch's. Poor contact in either of those can cause the Overload sensor to think there is an overload and cause an overload and the contactor to open. With the set OFF I'd suggest exercising both switch's by moving them thru all their positions...

    MEP-831a will not start.

+24 volts takes a long path thru multiple wires to get to S1-5. You ought to trace the power path from the battery's positive terminal thru all the points along it's path to S1-5. Here are the step by step points that it get there from the battery's positive terminal Battery + goes to Starter...

The kloppk WiFi Module Thread 802A/803A

Thank you! It certainly was a lot of work both hardware wise and the firmware development of the 4,800 lines of code that run it. The Beta testers from S.S. who's feedback and feature suggestions help shape the final product. Unfortunately there were at least 3 variants of the S1 switch...

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

It doesn't appear to be the case based on what wire connections I could spot in the pic. I'm hoping the OP does the tests I suggested so we can get to the bottom of the LEDs not lighting when the button is pushed.

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

You're most right Guy! Close up pictures of each switch and gauge that the wires go to would be great. A closeup up of part number on the strange connector. Also a close up picture of the pin side of the connector like in your original post but much closer. Hopefully the pin location markings...

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

Guy, I think the problem is either no power to the monitor or it's shot. The OP indicated the Fault Reset button won't illuminate any of the LED's. Looking at my schematic of the Fault Monitor if the Reset button won't illuminate all the LED's then there is a basic problem. synelecpb Two...

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

If the Concord is stuck at 2.5 v it's very likely it's badly sulphated and beyond hope. A pair of 12v motorcycle batteries work well. I have them in both of my 831's. I'll spend some time tomorrow and try and give you a couple of things to measure to troubleshoot the fault monitor.

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

 Because of 69birdman's zinger ;-) I took a close look at the picture to see where the wires got to from the mystery plug. Yes - it's a Remote Start cable. It allow the generator to be Pre-Heated, Remote Started, the contactor to be closed and I *think* remotely see the AC voltage. From...

MEP 831a Fault test not working and strange connector

Very odd. I suspect it's a remote start connector judging by the way it's routed to the switch's on the control panel and the round hole on the left cabinet wall.

The kloppk WiFi Module Thread 802A/803A

The firmware, as designed, does not automatically start the generator for the purpose of charging he generators batteries when they eventually start to drop in voltage. The battery voltage can be monitored via WiFi when the generator is off to determine when the batteries might need topping...
