How long does fuel stabilizer last??

I actually throw in a couple of quarts of engine oil every tank full. Plus I add "Opti-Lube" and a Bio-cide and the "Pri-D" .For me that's just cheap insurance.

1985 CUCV M1009: Best replacement transmission

The problem is the cost ! The control module is over $600.00 just by itself ! Then you need to shorten the rear driveline and lengthen the front. Then there's the connecting to the transfer-case issues ! Just much easier to rebuild the TH400.

How long does fuel stabilizer last??

Todays diesel is not yesteryears diesel fuel. The "Low-Sulfur" fuel needs additives to lubricate the injection pumps and injectors unless their the newer style made with hardened parts for todays diesel fuels. All that being said diesel fuel will last for "Years" unless you get an algae bloom in...

    Brake questions

Sounds like you have some issues Gimpyrobb ! Like maybe a few leaking wheel seals or lines ! Since I replaced all my brake lines with the "cuprinal" tubing and the flex hoses with the "Stainless Steel Teflon" hoses I have had no more leaks .

    Inexpensive camper/utiliy box for m35a2

I first found out that bed frames are hardened steel when I was 12 and building my first "Go-Kart". My father had some military surplus bed frames and told me I could use them for the frame of the Kart. I quickly found out a normal drill bit would not go through this stuff without plenty of...

    Turn signal trouble.

Now Marcus before you say something like "He doesn't know how to crimp that's why he solders", here's a few of my crimping pliers I have just downstairs. Yes I know how to use each and everyone.

    Turn signal trouble.

Now who's being disingenuous ? Quote : "in space, aviation and marine applications, and soldering is not permitted. Well, NASA doesn't agree. The aviation industry doesn't agree. The military doesn't agree" I can read but you cannot accept being wrong. I gave you proof, what have you given ...

    Hood removal

Yep ,you don't want to be moving a metal wrench around the inside of the dash where all those nice electrical wires are !

    M35 vs M813???

Scar59 hit it on the head ! Proper regular maintenance is the key here for any vehicle especially a "single circuit" system like these trucks.

Gas motor.. 12 volt .. & painless wiring harness

Yeah the "Painless Wiring" stuff is not painless when it comes to COST ! That is also why I went with a used harness myself. I also rented a "steam cleaner" after I removed the engine and transmission and transfer-case. I completely cleaned that whole truck ! I figured I would get my money's...

    Turn signal trouble.

Just to help you out Marcus I found these documents for you. The first one is from the "American Boat & Yacht Council Standards" . They state that you cannot "just" use solder as a connection but must also use a "mechanical" connector. They "DO NOT" say you cannot use solder. The second paper is...

    Turn signal trouble.

If your going to come here and make such broad statements then you better be able to back them up. Here is something right from this site. Valances "Ibis Tek light bar" . In post number #15 he mentions the switches are soldered. This is a military item. According to you they NEVER use solder...

I like how you modified the tool rack to hold the sledgehammer ! I think I might try that when I get some free time.

    Brake questions

The silicone brake fluid does not deteriorate like DOT 3 does. I have some that is over 20 years old and works just fine.

Gas motor.. 12 volt .. & painless wiring harness

Thanks ! Of course it took me several years to get here ! In fact it took several months (working weekends only) just to clean-up the engine compartment. I don't have any pictures, but it was totally gutted ! Thankfully I was able to sell the engine for $500.00 ! which helped with buying new...
