Looking for suggestions for a oil pressure sender (not a switch) for a MEP-831A. 1/8 NPT, reasonably priced, with either a nut/bolt terminal or spade connection. Resistance of sender not critical.

Guy, I think you were looking at the HT switch and not the OP switch. Here is what the TM has for OP switch connections. 143C to C 126A to NC That's how my 802 is wired.

I suspect the set was giving them trouble and they chopped that section of wire harness out to make the set completely inoperable and not easily repaired. Probably then got a replacement genset.

Also check for chaffed battery cables. One battery being drained could be caused by one of the cables shorting to ground.

Do you really mean K1 or possibly K15 or K16 or some other relay?

It seems they aren't needed now. According to profo in post #23 the 831 is J609B compliant and the Northern Tools 4.5K is a direct bolt up. Thank you kindly for the offer though.

I'd be game but before we go down that road we need to verify that the engine is J609B compatible. Need someone to verify the bolt circle diameter on the 831 as well as the output shaft dimensions.

According to the TM the PMA provides 32-50 VAC to the Battery Charger. Sending 120 VAC into it would probably let the magic "white smoke" out of it.

Before we get too excited we need to verify if the 831's engine is a J609A, J609B or some other mounting pattern and shaft setup.
