One easy way is with my governor controller. I can easily change the firmware to make the 831 run at the correct RPM based on the frequency output of the new gen head instead of the frequency output of the PMA. Simple firmware change.
Just checked. I get 7.5 vdc at A1-6 with S1 in Start position.
Guy did indicate the voltage out of R14 will be less than 24 volts, a change from what he posted earlier in the thread.
Just checked using my 802.
I get 8.5 VDC while holding S1 in the START position.
Do you get any HZ or AC voltage reading on the panel meters with S1 in the START position?
Is S6 set correctly?
On demand start systems such as an Automatic Transfer Switch, charge controllers, etc can command it to start/stop using a 2 wire interface. A basic contact closure on the 2 wire interface commands to set to start. Opening the remote contact closure will cause the set to shut down.

Beta testing uncovered a few areas needing improvement. Thank you Beta testers!
Installation & Users Manual updated to facilitate installation, wire harness changes, firmware improvements, & a PCB correction to fix a PCB routing error.

Sounds like unit A may have a bad controller if adjusting Stability & Gain don't do anything.
The VAC across terminals A & B on the controller should be ~176 VAC, or approximately 254 Hz (3050 rpm) at no load when adjusted properly.
Correct, my controllers have no adjustments. Just install...
You might want to disconnect the outlet from the fuel pump and see what the flow is like.
Did you replace the filter on the inlet to the pump? It may be clogged.
K12 LED on indicates the 831's fault system detected a fault and removed power from the Governor Controller and hence the actuator resulting in low RPM. Without power to the actuator the voltage at H-J will be 0 VDC.
Resetting the power switch clears the fault restoring power to the Governor...
When it's at a low RPM and won't respond to a STOP is the LED in the K12 relay illuminated?
When illuminated it indicates there is a Fault and power has been removed from the A5 Governor Controller.
When this happens using the E-Stop or Run/STOP switch will have no affect on shutting down the...
The C57400 (AKA version 2, blue square body plastic) switch only needs 1 jumper. It's black plastic covered and normally between terminals 4 & 8. It's part of the C57400 configuration.
Internally the switch terminals 2 & 6 are connected to either 4 or 8 so with the one jumper terminals 2,4,6,8...
I assume when you measured ~202 Hz was the engine RPM much lower?
When it stops responding to STOP is the engine RPM kinda low or still at a high RPM?
Are there any Fault lights on when it stops responding to STOP?
The Low Fuel fault is normally due to the fuel tank being virtually empty (or...

Thx for the offer. Many members offered to help.:-P Can only provide units to a few for beta testing.
First beta test unit sent out last week to a S.S. member. Second unit going out this week to another S.S. member.
Will need to gather results from beta testing and roll in any needed...
I'd suggest disconnecting terminals F & G from the Governor Controllers. This removes power from the governor controller.
Be sure they do not touch each other or anything else.
Lift the actuator arm off the magnet.
Start the generator and see what Hz/RPM reading you get.
If you have a high RPM...
