I've had the XML and the XZL in 395. My XML tires didn't wear as well as the XZL and made more noise(driving down the road). The XZL goes anywhere the XML went. I'd like to try the MVTs next.
Classified up. Still need to get out and get the rest. I'll complete orders as they come in, please have patience.

No the FDC cannot get stuck and cause this. You should bypass the FDC, its ONLY PURPOSE IS TO LIMIT POWER OF YOUR TRUCK. It is a known source to leak fuel into the crankcase.
Sounds like possible wet stacking. Throw a load into the bed and run it hard for an hour or so, see if it clears up.
I don’t hold much faith in those air filter indicators. Yes, you can wash the filter element! After "some" amount of time, they just go bad though. I had one in my wrecker that was just horrible.
I'd run the truck with the filter and the EGTs were sky high, once around the block with no...
There is 3 marks on the balancer, use the top mark if you have a turbo. Should say LDS/LDT.
Also, I wouldn't use the balancer bolt to turn the motor. Put the trans in 4th gear and the T case in neutral, then turn the short shaft with a prybar.
Yes the hose that connects the turbo to intake. This is where a boost gauge would be handy. If you don't have boost, you know its turbo related.
Right now it might be the turbo or a multitude of other things. How is the air filter? Put a screwdriver to your ear and each injector, maybe an...
Ha! I forgot, i did burst a boost hose once. They are sometimes hard to find. I had soot near the hole lucky for me, or I'd still be looking for it.
Do you have a boost gauge?
We had a guy pop out the sparkplug for the pre-heat intake system. That let all his boost out and he could hardly move. Once we plugged it, it worked good again.
Just something to check...
I used to do industrial roofing and have worked with these in the past. It may be something others are not "comfy" with.

I have used pliobond and can attest for its quality. BUT! If I were planning on doing tie down points, I think I would look into renting a plastic welder to "melt" the material together. I have a cargo cover that came apart on the way to Haspin this year and I plan onngetting one to put it back...
Even with the IP off the motor, it is no fun!
I decided to put a new IP on my motor while I was doing the headgaskets. I decided while the IP was off, to put in the new steering column I had sitting here. It took over an hour.
Yes, loosening the motor mounts and jacking the motor away comes in...
