I'd say 2300 is a great price. My 1953 M62 didn't need any of the packing done, but it did need hoses. You'll have to be carefull on the hoses as its a non-standard thread.
I wonder if DH ever got any of those adapters made up...

Yes, that is an oil line. The O.P. has that one, but the lines I have made are in sets. One is from the motor block to that Fitting and the other is the one in your pic.
Its a good thing the tailgate took the brunt of the dammage, it could have been your head! (might have knocked some sense into you)

Ive been told by a career big truck mechanic that if you can't keep your hand on it, its too hot. He says too tight will ruin bearings but a tad loose and your golden.
