Wow! It sure looks sweet in this picture... Sure was a shame that the owners were so stubborn. I never have understood how the featured attraction (the train) could have been abandoned like that. :-(

Sad but true.
The only REAL DIFFERENCE is that we as citizens have a serious problem when we run out of money.
Government on the other hand - can run in the red - and even into the negative numbers...

Welcome to the site from North Carolina!
Happy to hear that you have a new toy and like has already been said - be sure to post up some pictures! It will be a great way to document where your truck started and what it will eventually grow to be.
Don't hesitate to download the "-10" TM and...
Guyfang,
I know that I am second in line, but if the other guy doesn't want it - I would gladly pay postage to get it here to the states!
If you have some sort of testing device for CTIS information, maybe the answers to 1, 2, and 3 will give some other choices...
I have worked out a few bugs...
Frank,
I love the "Cuss Adapter" (feature) on your wrench! Hanging over the jackshaft, tightening the bolts.
Eventually the wrench will slip out of you hands and end up on the ground.
That little piece of string keeps you from climbing up and down to fetch the wrench
I call it a Cuss...

There is another possibility - since you are not sure what is in the transmission: There are companies who specialize in testing motor, transmission, gearbox, and hydraulic oil. You can order a testing kit and know what is in your transmission. Especially if what you have today IS working...

I wouldn't swear to it, but considering the basic information that you gave:
- Bullet hole in the hood
- Brass in the cabin
- Serious lack of other information
It is possible that something bad happened to the occupants of that vehicle.
Rather than force a family to go through the pain...

Welcome from North Carolina!
Happy to hear that you have a M105. Picture it up and post it here. Even if it needs a little work, it will show you where you have been and you can impress your friends (that's us) with your new "toy".
Be sure to spend a few minutes in the...

Wow. Nothing much more to say.
REALLY NICE looking truck!
I echo the idea of "always wanted one of these". Not sure about the "always" part, but it sure would be cool to have!
Going down the highway at 70 would be really exciting so long as there isn't any traffic in sight...

Really nice article!
A no frills inside, but lots of tools to get yourself and others out of trouble.
Very Impressive! Congratulations of the publication of the article too!!

Hi Sean,
Welcome to the outfit from North Carolina!
I hope you can get your after auction problem resolved. I have made a few purchases from individuals that were "exactly as advertised" and I have had a few that weren't. None of my experiences were awful, and I have made several good...

Nice! You needed to have a reason to take her somewhere  .
Agreed that a nice comfy place to sleep without involving Paris is a good thing.

One thought...
Everyone has an opinion, but I think you need some sort of safety wire to hold that valve in the OFF position. Truck & Motor vibrations and a valve that dumps the "life giving fluid" out of your truck really fast could cause a really bad day!

Could be as simple as a partially open drain on the tank under the step.
I had a leak under my driver's step on my M936. (see pictures) Really couldn't tell where it was coming from until it was aired up on the front gladhand. Truck off for less noise. My particular situation was metal...

Absolutely Coug !!
Being prepared sure makes life a lot easier... Can't plan for everything, but it sure is nice when you can think ahead.
Even better when a piece of equipment pays for itself in a single use!
