Yea got my new one from Will here on the board and glad I did. On mine the whole dang dryer was full of water but very little showed up in the wet tank. Also all I needed was a bushing to decrease the control line size to match the dryer everything else crossed over no problem. I did have the...
Just about rapping it up and once again thanks to NDT getting me the last thrust washer that was left out. I have been using the O rings for the cross that came in the two kits. Needed two more sets so I used my Hyd. kit and #913 looked the best fit. I know it was sealed with lots of silicone...
Any truck with air brakes this should be watched. I needed two of my cage bolts today and if I was not home and had the wire brush on hand it would have been a fight. So the tip is to remove all your cage bolts and give them a check/oil so if and when you need them there will not be that problem...
Got one side of the milked axle done with all new bearings and hub gearing. Here on the cross you can see where water made it on both sides of the CTIS seals trashing both side bearings and gears. Even had rust on the hub shim. Problem if you get water on the inner bearing you will not know till...
No need to go off road with my tractor trailer grossing 36k as of yet. Have plenty of other MV's to get stuck with or tear up also getting rid of the inner grease bearing so both bearings are oil floating. Also my CTIS system was not working and I changed out the MTV rims for new combats I had...
Yea if I want to get rid off all CTIS lines then I will remove the rubber lines and plug up the back side line/hole. For right now I can leave the rubber line and not worry about the spindle hole just the wheel hub so I don't loose gear oil.
Do you have fuel at the bleeder between the secondary and final. If I know the filters are new and I get some fuel coming out of the bleeder then I don't even bother taking off the fuel line to the head. These motors/trucks if there is fuel to the head then they run or we have other problems...
M915 if you must have military. Every time I look on crags list I see nice civi road tractors cheap.
I could have gotten one of those for half the price I have in my M1088. More speed better mpg.
Thought it was the hub not the spindle we had to do. I left the CTIS hose on the back side of the axle housing. I will remove it and plug up to. Removed the hub line and the little fitting now to find the right size plug for the hub.
OK digging in to the rear that someone milked and it does not look good. Outer bearing and race looks ok but the inner is trashed. So new bearing and race for this side and bought two sets incase the other side is the same way. Had to drive out the CTIS seals to get to the inner race and I am...
Seth I got it off Ebay for 30 bucks and got lucky it was for the inner hub seal. You most likely can do it with out the driver as the seal is easy to get to because the drum is not in the way of hammering. You can see the hub is well open to work that seal. I am just anial and have to have...
OK had the gears a little to loose and they still were a little noisy so back apart. Got the new inner hub seals and had the seal driver so lets do the inner seal right this time. The hub did seat on the seal I left in there like Steve said but in the immortal words of Thumper. ( Do it nice or...
I don't trust anything but a true big torque wrench or my truck four way and a cheater pipe. Truck four way $80 bucks. Possible cheater pipe free. Never found them to let me down on removal or install. When on install the nut speaks it's tight.
As said get all three filters changed. Then what we are looking for is fuel pressure when the in tank is running. If we want to check pressures then we put a gage between the secondary and final fuel filters. The correct pressure with in tank should be 4lbs. In most cases if it comes out when...
