Never said it was a S cam but both use cans with a rod throw and they both use slack adjusters. Maybe I did not understand the OP question but to look and measure rod throw with S cams or measuring the gap with Stop Master wedge brakes is the only test I know of a working system.
If you have...
Thought there was a test for just the transfer case brake. Air up plus the override if I remember and see if the Transfer case drum brake holds with it in gear and idle. With the service brakes most of the time they work just how well is the slack adjuster job. There is only so much throw to the...
As others said up to date maintenance so that means you will be working hard when you first get the truck to play catch up. The other maintenance is when you go fording or heavy mudding there are things you must do right away. Main thing with this hobby is have fun and be safe in your driving...
Most of the time my hands are to greasy to make a Utube vid. I have watched some different instruction Utube vid's on other things not mechanical.
I don't even know I would make a vid for the world see even if I knew what I was doing. Now to make one where I did not have a clue is beyond me. As...
Yea right. First thing in the vid Do Not throw the top ring down on the ground on the O ring sealing side. Plan to spend 1/2 hour working on the rusted bolt threads with wire brush. Buy the correct tire hammer. In less you have a big compressor and a one inch truck impack plan on a good workout...
I said my kit when I should have said on my A3. Wonder if that is a upgrade or someone did not install it on mine from the beginning. As I said I am not going to worry about it. Know if the air went to 60 it would be a good thing that the air assist does not steal what air is left. Me if it...
You are looking for this scribe mark on the Head. Best if you find some threads on the HH replacement and brush up real good. Also the 465 Trouble shooting manual is a good read. Your red paint might be there might not be. No on the quill shaft.
We talked about this in a thread but where it is I don't know. If I remember we figured there was no difference they just were different year lower units. You can look in the Deuce injection manual and see what pumps had the different ones. I also believe that we said you could run ether one...
Think the confusion was on the two check valves. The PM is talking about the check valve on the glad hand cover that is like the one on some of the axles that only vents out. Then the bigger check valve that protects the air tanks. So this was a good thread about keeping the glad hand cover vent...
That is the truth. Yes as you said both emergency and service glad hands must have the vent. Both need to be working. This is why I like the older systems in the 809 and in the Deuce so much less to track down.
