Ok something strange. I unplugged the Temp. switch wire engine running and my rear fans came on and the engine fan was already engaged. I plugged it back together and the rear fans stopped and the engine fan disengaged for the first time. When I had the Temp. switch unplugged and the rear fans...
Since I don't play with married woman or going in to battle thought I would add some color. Plus dug through the parts and found the new air dryer that will be installed soon.
Wrong year is better than the wrong make. My title says it is a Stanley Steamer. It's a MTV M1088. How the fudge someone got that from S&S I will never know. Good drugs or bad whisky I guess.
Well to answer my own question if the 5 ton combat rims would fit. Yes and ran to Jacksonville today and picked up never run, stored inside baby's new shoes.
Yea I am not getting any air out of the line that connects to the clutch. I hope it is just the water temp switch, If there is a big problem I will just convert it to a manual air switch. Something like that is on a Deuce front axle ingagement. They also make one for the drop axle or air tail...
Working on mine now. Fan is locked up when aired up. First problem is someone nice disconnected the air line off of the fan. With the line off it should have been leaking air out of it when truck is aired up but not mine. OK Mine is a three air line system 1997 M1088. I took it apart and both...

Serviced/ drained and filled with new fluid all three axles and hubs. Started in on the cab ripping out the padding and taking care of the small rust that was there. Used the Ospho rust converter on the rust for now and will get out the power wire brush and see how much of the undercoating they...
Know it has been awhile and you got it figured out but the bleed screw/bolt is on top of the secondary filter. In most cases we would change both filters at the same time. Then that way we would be clearing out the air in both filters at the same time.
Just wanted to say Tanks again John the truck is cleaning up nice and well worth the money.
Ok back to the tinkering Allen reminded me if the Supra seats fit they would not recline with the two storage boxes and the cab was easy to wash out with the water hose.
After reading the thread where...
Just started on the tractor. Took out all seats and padding. Washed out all the dirt. I should remove the two boxes and do the cab right. I plan to prep the cab floor and have bed liner sprayed on it and no padding. Then I have some nice Supra black leather seats that will go on the two front...
My Uncle already mad it a camper and with a MWO down to new paint and storage stands and storage drawers like tool boxes. Then the trailer was moth balled. I just had to change out the AC and add bigger bed. I also add my tools/stuff.
