Looks very un-rusted, usually the sills under the door are ate up. The bed is the correct bed for a M211. Someone kept this one under cover for many mnay years otherwise it would look a lot worse. Price is too high without a bed.
Interesting that it is a really early truck, still has the primer pump to the left of the steering column, that is something you don't see. $500 max., it needs total restoration.
You better use a mil instrument cluster if you are running with the 24 volt setup, the two alternator idiot lights have to function for the alts to charge.

If you come up with a good technique for blasting off CARC, please let me know. I am using #4 sand and it takes FOREVER! At $5.50 a sack, these truck restorations are getting ugly expensive!
Which air tank is the problem child? Red River Parts in New Boston Tx might have a derelict 915 or other family truck. Another option is looking for a possible civilian match at a local truck wrecking yard.
Isn't it amazing how much work it is to blast and paint those staves, and than all the cutting and bolting the wood/fiberglass??? Seems like it takes about a week to do a set!
The banjo axle is a "front loader" with the distinctive tic-tac-toe web cast into the the cover. Same appearance as the G749 "Hydramatic" trucks of the 1950's. The split is, well, split. There is a left half and a right half to the entire axle. There are some good pictures of this axle...
