    m35a2 or possible 818

So is there anybody out there who does transportation and give me a rough estimate for either truck? Also, what about from Ft. Indiantown Gap Anneville, PA 17003, to Lansing, mi?

    m35a2 or possible 818

I'm thinking of buying either a m35a2 or an m818 tractor. I was wondering if there was anybody on here who would be interested in trucking it from AL, Redstone Arsenal to Lansing, MI - and if so, what would you charge?

    Serpentine Belts

Wow, I had envisioned it looking so much simpler than that. I thought it should be just like a Civvy 6.5L setup, but instead of an AC compressor, you would have another alternator.

    Serpentine Belts

Nobody on here has converted their truck to serpentine belts:?:

    Serpentine Belts

Yea, your probably right, but even if there was a write up for going to a single alternator it would be cool. It might give me a little more ambition to convert to 12 volt.

1982 chevy diesel man xmission donor

Another thing to consider is that 1982 was the first year for the 6.2 liter and I've heard alot of bad things about motors of that year. They also use a different style glow plug IIRC. I think the threads are different or something like that, and that "could" pose a problem to find replacements...

    Serpentine Belts

Has anybody ever done a complete write up on what's required to put a serpentine setup on? I searched and only came up with threads that were arguing the good/bad points of using serp belts.

    6.2 lacks power

He indicated he had a 1008, which should have 4:56 gears as opposed to the 1009's 3:08 gears. The bottom line is that the 6.2 just isn't a very strong motor, but a turbo could help the situation. The banks kits are really nice from what I hear, but pricey. You may be able to score a 6.5 in a...

    Hydroboost & Master Cylinder - M1008

When you say "it goes to the floor" do you mean there is very little resistance and it very easy to push to the floor, or is the pedal literally already completely depressed? Because if there is no resistance in the pedal @ all I would assume you have a bad master cylinder.

    Ice boogers

Yea, your prolly right about the mud flaps, but seriously, mud flaps/running boards/sun visors are old guy items:roll:. People already think I'm weird enough because I drive around a camo truck!

    Ice boogers

So, last week I was driving around and realized my right turn signal wasn't working. I figured a bulb must have burnt out and I put it on my list of things to do (its a long list). Then last night I realized my other turn signal wasn't working, so I pulled over, got out and looked at my tail...

    cucv fuel filter

Well, I know I had air in the lines because I had to bleed it off repeatedly. Now, with the electric fuel pump, this is not a problem anymore. ralbelt - the filter actually wasn't too bad. I picked it up on an auction on EBAY for $54.00. The electric pump and braided line were pretty...

    cucv fuel filter

I have been lurking on SS for quite a while now and I thought I would contribute. I bought a M1028 last year with the intentions of driving it and restoring it at the same time. I quickly found out that the truck was a severe pain to start for multiple reasons: 1. glow plug card went bad 2. Air...
