    Oil leaking at exhaust manifold?

Thanks everyone. Swapped out #1 & 6 injectors with known good. (all 2 hole) I'll get a full set tested and swap in all 6 when the $ is available. Also adjust the valve lash next day it's not raining. It now seems to run pretty good. Made 2 trips to town, about a 40 mile round trip each. Leak...

    Oil leaking at exhaust manifold?

Just read "oil from exhaust manifold" from the similar threads column below. Sounds very promising. -Don't idle it, run it.- Sound plausable to you guys?

    Oil leaking at exhaust manifold?

Planned to pull the injectors just for a look see. Don't know if these injectors are one hole or two. My old engine had two hole. Don't know if it really makes much difference.I had hoped not to pull the heads. After buying the parts truck, a clutch kit, transmission jack, chain block, and...

    Oil leaking at exhaust manifold?

Replaced my busted block engine with a running engine from a parts truck. First I noticed a ticking sound and assume the rockers need adjusting. Puzzleing to me is oil ozing out around the #1 and #6 cylinder exhaust manifold. It's not the valve covers - they're dry. Bad valve guides? Injectors...

    Remote brake reservoir

I made a small tank with PVC pipe and fittings. Strapped it in the cab corner and painted it OD green. I can stand on the running board, unscrew the cap, and check fluid level. the vent cap I made can have an air tank with about 10psi in it to pressure bleed the system. Cost me about 15 bucks to...

    Got My First Deuce!!!

I run NDT's on mine year round. No they are not the greatest tire in the world by far. I personally like the original look. I don't run mine till they are slick and when the roads turn white the chains go on. 25mph max with chains but I'm too old to get in a hurry.

    Busted block

I got my new gantry crane assembled today. Bought a load leveler and chain fall. Hopefully the weather will break long enough to start pulling the engine

    Busted block

Is it better to pull the engine out with or without the tranny attached? What kind of weight am I looking at? In normal circumstances I would be using 3 locust poles chained together at the top and a chain block and tackle.

    Got My First Deuce!!!

Got metal ones in mine. Work great. One was faster than the other so I put a small needle valve in the line of the fastest. Adjust as needed.

    Busted block

I know the pistons and oil nozzles are different but did not know the difference in Injector pumps.

    Busted block

Dodging snow and rain, I finally got my LDT torn down. I knew I had lost a cylinder liner and piston, a relatively easy fix, but was concerned when draining the oil when I got 4 gallons of antifreeze first out of the oil pan. I had checked the heads first with the blacklite and spray and found...

    m35 trailer hitch receiver

Nope. Flat plate much larger. Extended behind bumperetts and used bumperett mounting bolts. I saw this one in my search but it's not the one I was looking for. Since it's been a while and my memory "ain't what she used to be" I may have seen this on a different site. Thanks.

    m35 trailer hitch receiver

A good while back I read of a receiver a member was building and selling. Before anyone asks, I did a fairly extensive search to no avail. It was a large steel plate that had 2 receiver slots and mounted to the rear crossmember. Actually mounted behind the bumperetts. Had a star shaped knockout...

Can a deuce be driven as a front wheel drive?

I do apologize for the cynicism. Long week, month, year. While waiting to pick up my lenthened driveshaft, I did drive my bobber front only. It did handle differently in tight turns and under torque but nothing that a little attentiveness can't handle. Full size would be close to the same...

Can a deuce be driven as a front wheel drive?

Don't mean to be cynical but it scares me to think people are driving around on public roads in a 14000lb vehicle with little or no knowledge of the mechanical workings of their vehicle. In nearly all instances, we are our own chief mechanic. As to the initial post, knowing it will handle...

Assist me with value of 1962 M35A2

Sounds like a fair deal. You gotta love big trucks and not mind turning a wrench to own one of these. I started out green (not OD) and fell in love. When the love dies I'll buy a couple FOR SALE signs and move on. Right now I'm having a ball!2cents
