I was just under my truck this afternoon looking at it. I Know for a fact that the plugs are blocked by the mounts. as a side note just because the mounts are in the same location for both motors does not mean the drain plugs are. and a 6.2 diesel are a different beast than a big block gas...
looking to do the same thing to my truck and looking at them they are both blocked by the motor mounts. anything short of pulling the motor and/or pulling the motor up and disconnecting the motor mounts.?
Yes I do. that was the 1st thing I checked. but thanks for thinking of that. and I dont have a welder here local that I know. I have always been a fan of jbweld but we used it on the farm mostly so didnt know if it could somehow put some Contamination in the oil. but thanks for the advice. think...
My oil pan is leaking from where what looks like the front axle nit the bottom of it. Its not a bad leak but I hate staining up my driveway. My question to you guys is I called NAPA and they told me to get a new steel one would be 149.00 plus tax. does that sound right? also is there a good...

I don't have a wait light eater on mine. mine is based on the feel of how cold it is. if i am cold then my truck is cold. i would hold mine for about 15-20 when its cold like cfish said and as it gets warmer the shorter i hold it.
As stated before I use a logging chain with a hd padlock that is bolted to the floor under the seat and to the steering wheel and i also changed out the cores also on all the locks. not saying that's the best but also of you want a lil extra i would go with a padlock on the hood and just taking...
If you look at the TM for it and you can just google the nsn that it says for the part and it will give you the part number. you can then take that part number and use it at about any parts store. I think NAPA is the best parts store and most of the time they will do their best to help you find...
Ok I looked at the truck last night and saw what you are talking about. also what size/type of redtop did you get to fit? sorry as I am a newbie to the CUCV world but am looking to jump headfirst into it.
