    New Master Cylinder Leak

Back to the forums after a while! I recently replaced the master cylinder on my '52 M-37 with a new made, identical to GI part. I had some difficulty getting the old "post" (see picture) removed from the pedal....so I simply left the old post in place, its adjustment looked the same as the new...

    National Car Transport?

Just got a decent quote (considering the cost of gas now) for moving my M37 from GA to KY. Just wondering if anyone else had worked with this company before? Their credentials look good. Thanks!!

    9 months of work......

So I drove my M-37 for its first big trip since getting it back to running. Drove it over 20 miles, and not any hitches other than yuppies getting ticked off at me for going 45mph on a state highway (2 lane). Even had an old gentleman flag me down, he lives nearby and has a '52 M38 and wants to...

    FYI-Fuel Tank Filler Hose

This is somewhat of a safety thread, but being that it's M37 specific I've posted here. As I got my '52 M37 road-worthy, I took time to replace every piece of rubber in the fuel, oil, and coolant systems, or so I thought. I came back today after the M37 sat for a week with a full tank of fuel...

    T-27 Xylophone

Anyone tried to mock-up one of these? (Sorry couldn't find a better picture) http://www.smallscaleafv.com/inspiration/zp-core/i.php?a=petr-dusek%2Fgmc-cckw-353-rocket-launcher&i=15.11.09-snimky-863.jpg&s=700&cw=&ch=&q=80 It looks like a mock-up would be fairly easy to make with some welding...

    HT Dual .50 mount?

Hi All, Ran across this picture of half track at a Canadian military museum. I've never seen this type of gun mount on a track before: Halftrack | Flickr - Photo Sharing! The mount looks like a shipboard mount...they had one years ago at the Kentucky State Military Museum in Frankfort, Ky...

    M37 from GA to KY

Hi folks, Wanted to post this here before I started working with any shipping companies and see if anyone wanted to take this on: Haul an M37 that runs, with brakes from Savannah, GA to Owensboro, KY, about 630 miles. The time frame would be late March or the first half of April, very flexible...

Wrong stock number? Someone got a heater in Vietnam..

Ran across this great picture of an M37 in Vietnam during Operation Junction City in 1967....funny thing is its got the heater mounted on it. I always had a feeling at least one got sent to Vietnam...so, here it is.:-o Also, added is a recent photo of my '52 as painting makes progress. There...

    Master Cylinder Rebuild

So, I've replaced the front flex lines (and one small section of steel line fused to the old flex line) and am bleeding the brakes...lots of pumping, bleeding, and constantly topping off the master cylinder later....still soft pedal...I have no bubbles at the bleeders, but small bubbles forming...

    Patton's Command Van Under Restoration

This is from a volunteer group I used to work with. (before the army moved me away from Ft. Knox). Figured some of the CCKW fans would want to see this: AFTA - Patton Van Project Page A lot of clues on ETO markings while they are stripping the paint off.

    Civilian Plug Wires?

So after trouble shooting fuel, air, and spark since September....I've come to the conclusion that it's either my plug wires or the previous owner who had reassembled my engine block that's causing weak or inconsistent spark. I'd like to do the wires before I tear it all apart. Are there any...

    M-37 Update

Hi! Just wanted to post an update on my 37. I'm awaiting the carb coming back from a full rebuild, so then it'll be time to tackle the engine again. For now, replacing the brake flexible lines, fluid, and bleeding. Two lines were replaced easily, third one resulted in me replacing a section of...

No Fuel, Weak Spark - Here I Am Again.

......and here I am again seeking advice from the forum  Fuel Pump: First fuel pump, my original pump is dead as a result of modern fuel and drying out for a year (previous owner). I'd read on another forum that some had good luck with the Carter M847 (pic 4), which I got and installed...

    Coil Question

Hi all, had a question about coils. Just changed mine out with a new one from M-series Rebuild (good guys to deal with - got the electronic ignition mod as well). When I Ohm'd the old and new coils here's what I found: New coil: 12.0 +/- 0.2 Ω Old coil: 6.2 +/- 0.1 Ω Is the "old" coil burned...

    Tried to start her today....

Good news: Engine turns over (good starter) and mechanically everything is lined up well. Bad news: No spark. Have two new batteries and all new autolite plugs. Initial trouble shooting is showing that no power is getting to the distributor....power regulator box? Fuse? Last owner blew out...

    MG Mount Question

Hi! I was wondering if someone with a real M24A3 mount could give me one measurement. I am making a "field modified" mount for my truck and need to know the height from the bed floor to the top of the socket that the cradle drops into. I plan on buying a socket piece and building my own mount...

    M-37 "Engineer" Re-build Help

Hi All! Just had a few questions as I am reworking a 1952 M37 W/W. I bought it from a gentleman who rebuilt the engine, but had lost interest once the block was installed. So far, I've rebuilt and installed the manifold, water pump, fuel pump, generator, etc, etc. Yes, I've got a copy of the...
