    No Start and No Crank

Tried that. It’s worked on other vehicles I’ve worked on but no luck this time. How hard is the starter to rebuild? Might just get a rebuild kit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No Start and No Crank

Hi guys, I have searched and found a few threads with a similar issue, but I'm still stumped. Drove the M1009 to work this morning, as an owl decided to kamikaze into my daily driver windshield, but that's a different story. Started fine at 5 am, drove to work, finished my shift and went to...

    High idle solenoid

Took it out for a test drive during lunch today. It started happening again, so I unplugged the green wire from the high idle switch. It performs fine now, tried several times to reproduce the stick but could not. I guess I will try to clean the old sensor when I get home.

    High idle solenoid

I will try today. Is that the one on top of the engine or the one on the passenger side rear engine?

    High idle solenoid

The high idle on my truck has been acting up. If my truck is in P or N, it sounds like it's at max RPM. In Drive, the pedal doesn't return to idle. If I splice into the wire and keep the stock function of the switches, would the manual switch exorcise the demon in my truck until I turn it on...

    High idle solenoid

Could anyone that disconnected the Cold Advance and put in a manual switch elaborate? ie, location of manual switch, pics, etc. Thanks in advance!

    Cold weather 09 CUCV

was +5 degrees in KY. One GP cycle and fast idle set was all it took. I don't drive it that much, but I do love this truck. We have had a lot of snow (7 inches or so, but it's a lot for this area) and I have had 0 issues. I am putting the front battery on a trickle charge each night.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Nice collection! I let the rain wash mine. The only thing I have done in that last couple of months is drive mine as a DD. I finally understand how fun they are when you're not cursing them!! (knocks on wood)

    New Owner of CUCV

It's held in by two screws. Easy to take on/off, but the orange needle might be brittle. Depending on the light that needs replacing, you can reach behind the panel and get to it...

    alternator issue?

When the batteries are replaced and it starts, the voltmeter will help (if it works that is). Autozone or other shops can test for you as well. Hopefully it's just old under rated batts that the alts couldnt charge up. If it's one thing I've learned with my own electrical bugs, fully charged...

Yea I think these windows were a last minute idea that wasn't tested properly. When I bought the truck the window didn't roll down, so I bought the regulator from LMC and coated everything with grease before reassembling. That's something I don't want to do again. Luckily, the only problem...
