My 09 would run great until I would park it for a day, then it would start and run for 5 sec then die. I would have to blead the injection pump. I thought I had a bad ip. Doing a lot of reading and talking with mechanics, I figured out my gas cap was not venting.
I soaked the gas cap in wd40...
I have never used a HMMWV intake, but I do know that the turbo and non turbo intakes on a civ 6.5 will fit. It is my understanding the 6.5 injection pump fits the 6.2 but is capable of pushing more fuel to injecters.
I guess I don't understand. Is the starter slow or not at all? My starter was slow for years when it gets about freezing. I just changed my starter to a gear reduction and wow what a difference. I think half my slow starting problems was my starter was old in the first place.
Correct me if I am wrong. The onlydifferences between the 6.2 and the 6.5 injectors, are the lenght and thepop-off preassure. I thought the lenght was only in the overall size but thebasses were the same. I also thought the pop-off preasure was controlled by thesmall wafers inside. I was going...

I run a bikini top also and have been looking at racks but I have not found one were I can take the fiberglass top on and off without having 2 separate roof racks.
Over the lower groups I placed painters tape to keep the resin out. I filled it with foam and shaped it. I laid cloth over the foam with the groups cut out. The second layer I draped over the edges. For the turn signals I cut the green lens to fit and resin over that. I glued the inside...
I wanted to put aftermarket gauges in because:
1. I wanted to add a Pyrometer, Boost, Tach, oil pressure, and coolant temperature gauges
2. I'm constantly fighting those stupid circuit board with the bulbs working than not working.
3. I think the 4 bulbs take up way to much space.
4. The...
I feel the same way as you do. I have been mocking up a new gauge cluster using auto meter gauges. I will keep the 2 bulbs for the gens but move them below my speedometer. I have already ran a second 12v fuse panel were I have mounted my fuel pump on a toggle. I was drawing up the circuit...
Things I have done:
Headlight relay bypass Take load off of headlight circuit and allowing greater amp draw on future lights
Electric fuel pump Makes it easier to prime filters
Filter housing replacement Makes it easier to change filters with a spin-on and fixes air leaking...
I enjoyed reading about the horn modification. I have a working horn, but I will place that modification on the list once I get all the other planed mods finished. Just thinking out loud, their should be a list of all mods one should do with a sock cucv.
I was having problems just like most people here, with their 30 amp headlight fuse getting hot. After I cleaned the terminals I thought of using relays (like it has been discussed before). I simply added 2 relays in the circuit. The best part is if I want to put it back, due to a bad relay or...
Fixed
I talked with a buddy of mine who suggested me to clean out the hpca check valve. I removed the valve and it did not look dirty, I cleaned it anyway with wd-40 and assembled it back together and it fired right up after I re bled the system.
