Just finished adding a cheapy winch to my M116A2.
The tool box worked out great for securing and protecting the battery and solenoid.
Also added a sheetmetal roof to bounce off some of the rain.
Works great for hauling up my ATV's, mower, golf cart, etc.
Started my MEP-003a today for its monthly checkup and my DC voltage is all of a sudden high. Typically the meter shows high yellow zone and voltage to the batteries at around 24.5 volts. Today after running a few minutes I noticed the meter reading into the red zone and checked the voltage at...
Picked up a trailer mounted MEP-003a from Fort Jackson for a friend and hauled it home this past weekend. Got it running last night and everything worked great.
Took it over to my bud's house so he could unload it with his tractor and that's when the shtf.:-(
As he was clearing the trailer...
:-D Had an electrician help with the final hook up yesterday and its working great!!!!
Had the central air, 4 refrigerators, multiple lights and by accident the dish washer all running off the geny. The meter showed it was running at 55% capacity.
Speddmon your posts helped immensley with...
Does anyone know if the 115 volt disconnect box inside the van is wired to the external plug with both pins hot and the shell grounded or set up for one pin hot and one pin common? Can't find a diagrahm and haven't traced the circuits yet. Site searches don't seem to address this question. :|
My M109 has the LD-465 engine which runs great but is a little smokey on the pull. I have available a 1D turbo and a new exhaust system.
Will adding them help with the exhaust smoke and what else would need to be changed if I did it?
Not sure of the advantages vs the disadvantages.
Well, arrived at Ft. Riley this morning at 8:oo AM. GL rep took me to the yard where my M109 was stored. It looked like the pictures and in some ways even better. I saw an old lot number on the windshield and was informed it was defaulted on once before. The first thing I did was push the...
Well, its time to head to Ft. Riley. Hopefully I can get my M109A3 started.
Looked at all the posts for recovery tools and supplies. Now just need a good healthy dose of luck.
I'll take pictures and let everyone know if its successful. If everything goes as planned will be heading home on...
Just finished tearing down my injector pump to free up a stuck plunger. Everything now moves great but I'm unsure whether or not I have timing issues on reassembly. The Ambac manual assumes you have all the test equipment which of course I don't.
Posted this on Smokstak also hoping for some...
:-D Well after selling both of my goats and my M37 I finally have joined the Deuce club. Just bought the M109 at Fort Reilly. Didn't get a chance to check it ahead of time so I really have my fingers (and everything else) crossed.
I saw in another thread that its possible to visit the site...
:( Just listed my goat on ebay. Hate to part with her but I need the room too badly. You'll spend a lot more than I am asking to build one into this shape. Hope somebody on here is interested.
Thanks, Steve
One of the last items I need are two wiper arms for my goat. I have the non-tapered mount type. Anybody have them or know of any for sale? I'll also need the blades but would be happy just to find the arms.
Thanks, Steve
