I am trying to restore a couple of USMC KLR650 bikes. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2000 year model gas burner. I am having issues with the starter and light circuits.
Thanks,
Oldsarge29
Thanks for the info. I think the PD is really looking for spare parts for maintenance. They just picked up 2 units and asked me about PLL. I guess a good start for them would be some basic maintenance items like glow plugs, spare lights and replacement half shafts.
I am looking for the PLL on the M998 series vehicles. I am trying to help the local PD get the needed spare parts list with part numbers so they can order the parts they want to keep on hand.
Thanks

I just went through the power steering on my 998 and found a couple leaks. One leak was the seal on the input shaft on the steering gearbox and the other was the pump. I pulled the gearbox off and cleaned it before tear down. I pulled the top lock nut off and removed the packing gland. Then I...
3cavtanker,
If you don't mind, please send a copy of the HMMWV manuals to oldsarge29@yahoo.com . I am working on some wiring issues as well.
Thank You,

I have 4 red tops that have failed. 3 of them will take a charge but none will hold a charge. Now I cant even get them warranted because I threw away or lost the sales receipt. I guess they will go to the scrap man next time I go with a load of scrap
Hotdog,
I thought I would hang on to the snotted wheel just in case I have the opportunity to get you to steer another 09. You have done a great job in the past. It helps your old arthritic hands get a better grip on the wheel.
You may be right Dolphin-Shooter, That CS gas was bad. A good dose of that stuff ( gas chamber) and the snot would really run from every opening in your body. Hotdogs151A2 I am going to make you a deal and a 1 time offer. First, last and only chance you will get to recover your snot rofl.
I used the 1008 and tow bar to recover a nice 1009 today. I know that it has sat for a little over 2 years. The odometer is showing 13,878 miles and going by what I see, I think the mileage may be correct. The sun has taken a toll on the dash pad but everything else seems to be good. This thing...
PeterD, Thanks for the reminder. The idle time on the gen set is only minimal. I never idle any gen set for more than a few seconds. I don't like to go from stop (cold engine) to operating speed as soon as it fires up. I like to see the oil pressure start to come up before I run it up. I know...
I tried to search the site and the web but still came up empty handed. I have a good looking mep-016a that has less than 10 hours on it. I believe that to be the correct run time because everything looks to be that clean. The screws on the hour meter are rusted and the rust stain is in the hour...
Thanks Hotdog, This is different from any other Mil vehicle that I have ever worked on. It is a challenge to get everything right the first try. Some of the small stuff will trip you up. just like the rear wheel camber (not sure why I said caster earlier). I found one of the lower ball joints...
