    cold CUCV

Im surprised that you didnt replace the thermostat and flush the system at the same time if you had your radiator replaced. Check hoses first to see if they are connected right and if they are then I would still change out the thermostat and flush the system out.

The bottom hose of the heater core goes to the engine block while the upper heater core hose goes to the radiator.

Did you hook up the heater inlet/oulet hoses correctly to the engine block and at the radiator or did you cross them over by accident?????

SO UGLY BUT I WANT IT!

What the heck is that one vehicle, it looks like a 1935 Dodge truck cab, a T39 Tank lower half with the tracks and a AA Machine gun attached behind the cab. Looks like something thought up in the 60's along with Alice in Wonderland and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Im betting Alice and Lucy...

Just picked up the M1009, a couple leak questions

The leaks that I have experiencedhave been due to a bad fuel filter base in which I had to replace. I saw one thread here where a member added some metal fittings to his to fix that problem. The other threads I have seen here about the fuel lines are all due to the rubber connections to the fuel...

Just wondering, What are the signs that your fuel tank has alot of jelly like fuel in the tank or that the fuel sender sock is clogged? I know, take the tank off and look but that is kinda of a hassel to go that far. Would the vehicle not get to regular driving speed if you were trying to reach...

Lost auction this time, Going for a M105A so what to expect

Well, the trailer I was bidding on (M116A3), 1 of 5 on GL website, I was outbidded on at the last minute. Looked like no one was bidding on the 5 lots except for the one that (I) was bidding on. All 5 trailers must have been bought by the same person. Next time, what price should I place and...

What size shocks for lifted M1008

RE: Re: RE: What size shocks for lifted M1008 I was told that boots can do more harm then good esp... where humidity is bad. They tend to collect dust and crud which collects on the piston shaft and will cause internal damage.

    engine blow by

If it has been sitting for awhile I would change out the fluids and also change the fluids. Definately drain the fuel and replace. Diesel tends to gel up if it sits for long periods of time. You dont want that gel crap getting into the rest of your fuel system since it can clog your injectors...

M1008 fuel tank sender unit question?

Changed the filter out today with new gaskets and yes, new fluid also. The magnet did not even look like a magnet, looked more like a mess of black oilly goo like used motor oil all in that one spot. Cleaned the pan out and actually found out their was a magnet under all that goo. Question, when...

    (TOOLS) section memebr search idea!!!!!

The member locator map is good if you know the members screen name and wanted to find out where that member is from. My idea is to have a filter in the location portion which would filter the States so we would be able to find members within our own State or to find members in other States if we...

    (TOOLS) section memebr search idea!!!!!

When I went to tools and went to member search I was hoping that I could filter the members by STATE so I know who lives near me in Hawaii. I see that a filter has not been established so member can locate other members by State. I think this could be a usefull tool for members who may need a...

    TH400 transmission, truth or myth????

I remember reading an article in 4 wheeler magazine this year in a section called "project reject". This is where they take broken 4x4 and try to give it some life for a few dollars. In this article they have a 84 M1008 from the junk yard in which they had a hard time starting but finally did...
