Wouldn't Powerservice Diesel 911 additive do the same thing since it is mostly alcohol? It would emulsify any water, but possibly damage rubber in the fuel system.

With Dell, malware comes with the machine free of charge and installed too. I put together my own computers now with components/software from newegg. Malwarebytes is good stuff though.
Just wire brush the loose stuff, needle scale the thick stuff, then paint over everything. Just doing that would be better than some of the motor pool paintjobs I've seen.

The primary advantage of synthetic oil IMO is the higher flash point of synthetic gives you more turbo bearing protection (less coking) from a hot shutdown. I'd rather give it a few minutes of idle.
