    M1008 or M1009?

you need to decide what you want to do with your truck, I own both , the 1008 is a hauler , long distance or short, the 1009 is a daily driver and light hauler with normal road speed and much better mileage and room for extra bodies,

    M1009 VIC12 Install

the newer base should work but I have never tried one , the 1729 tunes too slowly to keep up with the Singars and Tics radio systems,

    M1009 VIC12 Install

The RT-524 and the 1729 were designed to work together, the antenna base automatically tunes itself as you change the frec. on the set , that's that little motor inside clicking and when that dies the base can be tuned by use of the hand dial,

    M1008 Dash Lights

Stay with stock bulbs , don't make more problems for yourself,
  20. eme411

    M1008 Dash Lights

gently clean with 3M pad , do it on all the contacts and the bulb holders, use Dielectric grease on all contacts ,best thing is to replace all the bulbs with new ones , spending a few dollars on new bulbs is much easier than pulling the cluster again,
