Had a situation where my 1123 would be ok while driving then suddenly cut off like you turned off the ignition switch. Been going through the TM's and following the flow charts to no avail.
Very frustrating. The previous owner said he replaced the fuel filter and I took him at his word...... In...
Thank you for the offer. I dug around in the garage and found one hidden away from my 998. The new headlight either had a bad low beam or was broken. The old one works fine now. Thanks again.
Burned out headlight on my M1123.... Bought two new oem ones. The right light has low and high beam, however the right one only lights on high beam...no low.
The lighting wires are tied together so if the right low is working I'd think the left one would also. Maybe it's possible the the joint...
So with the screwdriver.... If it cuts off it's too advanced, if it doesn't do anything it's retarded and if it shakes a little then smooths back out when you release the plunger it's ok?. My M1123 seems a little rough idling right now...
My 1123 has the deep water fording setup. Parallel to the tall air intake stack there is a small diameter metal tube that connects to the DWF tubing. It goes through the fuel tank vent filter and is the vent for the fuel tank. Way above the 5' of water. The air to pressurize the system comes...

M1123 6.5L. Had the truck die twice now on two short test drives. Turned the start lever off and back on and it fires back up.
Folks said to check #54 at the fuel cut off solenoid and check the fuel filter....
Just noticed that the fuel pump has a nice leak.... Obviously, going to replace the...
Mine was a USMC M1123. The pipe was removed and I assume all the small stuff git trashed. It does gave the inner fender support so it came with the dwf setup.
I'm going to check the fuel tank vent filter as well as the batteries. The previous owner said it did it to him once and the cable terminals were not tight.
I know it could be several things however..... 2000 M1123. 18,560 miles. I just got it. New fuel filter, engine oil and filter. Glow lights come on normally, go out and then truck starts immediately. Sounds normal.....
On the way to my local transmission shop to get a fresh fluid and filter...
