You have electric heat or the furnace needs electric/gas/oil? Thats the big variable i see here. I can run my electric dryer with my 802 but use a wood stove for heat. I have an electric stove and the 802 can also run that. If you have a gas/oil furnace and dont mind not running everything...
I think most of these generator sets will hit the time limit on the oil change more than the hour limit. So how usefull will additional oil stuff help? Idk if it will.
I believe we had the same wheeled crane at our last job. 4cyl cummins B series, 4 wheel steer with crab? We had to replace that cylinder too. The swing box would get water in it if left outside.
The D rings can make noise too. I remove all the chains that hold the oil cap and rad cap. Idk how i will ever find them once i do a oil change and check the coolant.
You would be suprised how little your neighbor will hear your generator if you throw a cord over the fence.
Why dont you talk to them and see what they have to say about the subject. After all you have to live next ti them not any of us.
Yes the house load shows 1.7ish amps then the element comes on. I believe the 1.7a is prob the tumbler motor in the dryer. For what its worth i have overloaded this set to the point that the engine almost shut off, durring load testing. I have never had it trip the over load. Its about 1-2A...
I picked up this horizontal diesel tank out of a aircraft generator this week. Its stainless and every bit of 3/16 thick. This thing is heavy! Easily 90lbs empty. By my measurements its 29gal.
Im debating making a skid that this would fit under the 802a.
I could also making the fuel tank...
Are you getting 24v out of the start switch? The diagram should tell you what terminal to look for this on.
If you jump 24v to the switch terminal and the engine crankd i would think you have a bad switch.
That gauge means nothing until you have learned what your specific set will put out. Just by what that heat gun showed on the gauge should tell you that the gauge is not correct.
How long have you ran the set?
Are you sure the oil pressure gauge is wrong? Thats a bad gauge to guess on.
There...
I have a friend who use to work in the testing lab for Prestone. He said use motocraft in these iron block/head diesel generators. The vc-7-B stuff, when mixed it looks clear.
I can use my electric clothes dryer with my 802a. It will put out about 25-27a. I can also take a hot shower with a well and heat pump water heater. At the time i had both a 802 and 803 at my house. After testing my house on the 802 i sold the 803 with out even hooking it up.
What kind of...
I keep mine outside. And its covered in snow. Even over the top rad grill. The only thing i do to start it is make sure the exhaust flap can open. Usualy all the snow and ice on the top rad grate comes flying off at the operator in front of the gauge pannel.
Mine is getting a roof over it...
Cool idea! Im suprised that 350w was able to keep the oil that warm.
You should stick your temp probe in my the fuel tank. Gelled fuel is alot more of a deal killer than cold oil.
Last time i had a fuel problem on one i sprayed it with degreaser and used a pressure washer. This was all lower half of the engine and down.
As for how dirty your electronics area is i wouldnt mess with cleaning it much past compressed air. Its not that dirty and you take a large risk wey...
