Right, and subtract a few psi from the drops across the filters along the way. If the piston doesn't leak in the "rest" position doesn't mean that it won't when in operating position.
I would recommend that an oil analysis is done every so often to find out what might be mixed in with the...
I would argue that the pressure from the in-tank pump is insufficient to properly test the FDC, it operates on about 20 psi IIRC.
The sealing surfaces are honed (?) to fit and hard particles (=rust) from the fuel tank especially will mar the surface.
The piston in the FDC moves very little when...
An advisory note; make sure the generator head is free and clear of any dirt! I learned the hard way when the head finally failed and I discovered a handful of sand/gravel inside the housing...
If I had the bucks, it'd be aluminum for sure. Install baffles inside and an inspection opening(s). Also openings for a level sending unit, extra fittings for a drain and a future in-tank pump, you never know.
If you use steel, get it professionally coated on the inside.
I like my "tub" method. The methanol and sodium hydroxide are mixed in a separate glass container then added to the heated WVO in the tub and stirred.
Made hundreds of gallons this way over the years.
Does it have an MS number? Is it a switch for a "dummy" light or a sending unit for a gauge?
My 5-ton uses a #M12285/1 (305°F), which is a switch and would not be harmed by a higher voltage.
If the rears start to spin, I ease off on the accelerator pedal and engage the front....done it with the deuce and the 8x8 for years.
This is what the 8x8 TM states, no mention of any speed limit. Same should apply to the deuce.
Edit: Found note for m35 (TM 9-2320-209-10 C5)
You may want to research this...here is one comment off a Donaldson filtration system promo (image below).
The oil in the airpak is eventually exhausted and will not effect other parts AFAIK.
This is possibly a case where this switch (ALT/BAT) may have stopped the progress of the disaster.

Lock-up may occur when the truck (brakes) aren't used very much. Non-use may cause the valves to stick.
Prevention means lubing now and then and/or using the truck more often.
My brakes were locked up one time back in '01 and resulted in a rebuild and the MVM article.
The error in the TM was...
The performance curves from the TM is shown below.
Apparently the BSFC is based on MAX permitted fuel consumption for use during testing and may be lower for an actual motor.
Example: The max fuel consumption for a still acceptable performance is 80 lb/hr producing 180 hp, which is a BSFC of...
