The next Army Motors has an article in it detailing the production of the M135 - I don't remember when it is due out.

Twenty-plus years ago my local Guard unit was a Signal Corps outfit. Their deuces all had shelters in the back - and all were masked by overheight canvas cargo covers and bows.

There will be a relief valve in the air system, which by law (at least here in TN) must be inspected/certified periodically. I think its about 25 bucks here - which I consider darn cheap insurance!

Just glad when first my pickup, and later my car, were stolen they weren't ditched at your house. My pickup was found on the side of the road, out of gas. My car, on the other hand, was found abandoned with two flats and a flat spare - a week after the landowner reported its "appearance" the...
Five ton likely won't help. A few years ago I wanted to extract a stump from the yard - pretty good size stump. Hooked dad's M328 (bridge truck) and one of my M35A2 to it in tandem - even jerking brought no movement of the stump. It was interesting to see the massive bridge truck hop up and...
All the Multfuel ones except the 361 manual - at least all of them that I've ever seen....this is not referring specifically to after an oil change, but rather, any time the truck is started.

RE: Tractors 5 ton plusssss
Dunno about the others - but I was confining my answer to the five ton tractors that were requested. However, as you know from our previous correspondence - the WLF is one of my favorites.

Marcus,
If you want to - drop me a note and I'll round up the TM number for manual on the compressor - if you don't already have it. I also some pixs of this type of truck when new, which I can email if you like. If its convenient, I'd like you to send me the info off the data plate of both...
Dave Harper has done a number of books specifically dealing with the LVT, and their markings. A google search will likely turn these up. If not, PM me and I'll send you his email addy.

It's always struck me as odd that so many people want plain cargo 6x6 (with obligatory winch and ring mount) - when in fact other versions are much more scarce (CCW, water purification trucks, compressor trucks, etc). In virtually every other hobby - the scarcer - the more desirable (folks...
The NSN for the M933 is 2320-01-047-8768. However, I don't think that any of these were series-produced. Today, while looking for pix of a Reo with a Quickway crane mounted, I'll keep an eye out for a pic of a prototype M933.
Best wishes,
David
Not telling you your business - but with some experience in driving Gadsden to Cincy - unless there is something you are trying to see on the way - I sure wouldn't go to Chattanooga. The hills/mountains that way will kill you in a deuce.
I'd slide over to I-65 at Cullman, then blast north to...
The TM cautions us to ALWAYS turn the engine over with the engine stop pulled out, then push it in to start - and many of us routinely disregard this. However, in my opnion this is especially important after an oil change.

David
The gasser deuce wiring harnesses are harder to find than the Multifuel - in fact, if any of you guys have any unwanted gasser harnesses laying around........
