    200 amp alternator nut size

The kit I got did not come with a nut or spacer and the instructions and drawings I got were directly from AM General. This is the nut for the pulley shaft

    200 amp alternator nut size

I read the instructions sent with it, and it says to reuse the nut from the 60 amp alternator, but I tried to fit that nut on and it was too small. 60 amp alt nut seemed to be 3/4 16 but the shaft on the 200 seems to be 7/8 in diameter. Anyone know the actual nut size? Also the pulley seems to...

    200 Amp Alternator 14v tap

I have recently installed a 200 amp alternator in my humvee in preparation for a 4l80 swap. In the instruction booklet, it says to ground the 14v tap. This makes no sense to me, so why do they do this? Also, if it is never hooked up to anything, what is the point of the dual voltage alternator?

    6.5 engine harness on a 6.2?

What photos? And you said you might have the IP? Can I get one off of you?

    6.5 engine harness on a 6.2?

And what kind of IP is this, a 6.5 NA IP? Or just any old diesel IP. Also why do I need a new IP with the 6.5 engine harness?

    6.5 engine harness on a 6.2?

But the harness works with the rest of the components on the 6.2? And where would I get a different upper section of the IP?

    6.5 engine harness on a 6.2?

So I've been going over the a2 body harness that I will be using with my 4l80 and it looks like I will need a 6.5 engine harness because of the connections to the engine rpm sensor and the TPS. Would a 6.5 NA engine harness work with a 6.2 engine?

    4l80 swap clarifying questions

How do I find out what yoke I have? And once I do, I've looked at the parts manual and the diagram that is there is not clear as to what transmission it will fit. It gives three different fferent nsn for the t/c but it doesn't give the respective drive shaft for each different yoke.

    4l80 swap clarifying questions

Looks like I found the correct rpm sensor to feed the TCM. It was relatively easy to find and plenty of websites are selling he 94-98 oil pump drive speed sensors. It costs an arm and a leg for such a small sender, $400.

    4l80 swap clarifying questions

I found the TPS. Do you happen to have the manual page number or the nsn fan clutch bracket and linkage? Also, where could I get the rear drive shaft assembly. I am currently watching the correct front drive shaft on epay but the rear shafts listed there do not have nsns so I have no way of...

    4l80 swap clarifying questions

So I can get a civi TPS and it will work with the 6.2 IP? I assume there is only a specific one that works, like a Chevy GM 6.2l TPS perhaps? And as for the engine speed, I see rpm sender units that plug in to that location all over epay. So I could take one of those and assuming that I find a...

    Batteries - Suggestions

I just went to their website, and it seems like they are pretty good batteries. The yellow top ones seem to be best fitted for a humvee and the environment it's going to be in.

What type of differentials do I have

I was doing some testing with the low lock on the transfer case and noticed something interesting. I was driving at low speeds with the t/c in high lock position, which means the front and rear axle are locked together, but when I went around a corner (for testing) the vehicle acted like the...

    4l80 swap clarifying questions

I am installing a 4l80 soon but I have a few clarifying questions before I begin. 1. Where is the TPS located? On the IP or the gas pedal? 2. If it's on the IP can the TPS be mounted on a 6.2l injector pump? 3. If it cannot or requires modifications is there a civi counterpart to the TPS that...

    Batteries - Suggestions

I know that there are plenty of other posts on the several different types of batteries and their respective advantages, but I wanted to ask the community what they suggest is the best. Currently I have some small car batteries sitting in my m999 right now, but only because the original 6tlmf...

0-80 electronic speedometer in a mechanical hmmwv

And these senders are on the t/c right?

0-80 electronic speedometer in a mechanical hmmwv

Yes I realize, I was just wondering if anyone made adapters to take the mechanical signal and feed it to the electronic speedo. If there is such a thing, it would be even easier than converting the whole system over.
