Started on the storage box. The table was definitely easier to make. There's something about working under the trailer that wears me out twice as fast as normal. I broke my rivet gun, now I have to push the jaws in with my finger after every squeeze. Yuengling time!
Outside table. All aluminium. Now I don't have to pack the plastic fold up table. This will eventually be stored slid under the storage box which is my next project.
Thanks, I have mirrors to go in the side cabinets and wood panels for the overheads. I have to special order the drawer slides for the drawers in the night stands. I'm using the self closing type, they seem to be staying closed while on the road. About 800 miles on the kitchen slides and they...
The TM shows a square plate with an eye bolt in each corner. But shows no use of it or storage.
The drums are working well. 50 gal of water lasts a while. Especially since I haven't hooked up the shower/ tub.
There are 3 drums. Fresh, gray, and black.
The drain fittings are on the side, so...
In not sure what was originally mounted in the space behind the king pin but in front of the landing gear. There are brackets that I've repurposed to hold my aluminium jack pads.
There was also a piece of 5/16 chain bolted here and a grab hook is welded nearby.
Yes they are awesome! Ray, you have set the bar on military tractor trailer campers!
That was Pine Grove Furnace state park. It's within Michaux State forest. It has electric hookups with fresh water hydrants along the road to fill your tank. There is also a dump station at this location. We...
Been camping about once a month. Here is a couple pics from last weekend.
This sign was on both ends of the road. Then about a 1/4 mile in the was a sign that said 15 ton limit.
Went to Pine Grove Furnace State Park
Toilet works! Shower isn't hooked up yet. The 55 gal black tank takes a long time to fill.
Got a bed to sleep in too.
I had to stay at work overnight a couple days ago. So I took the trailer with me. Had my own bed to sleep in and air conditioning! Sure does beat a cot!
A little update. Worked on it this weekend. Made cabinets and ran a lot of wires. Framed the bathroom.
Even got the wife out there helping. She scraped up the old linoleum floor.
Definitely an improvement.
Seeing 225 psi, I may turn the screw down a bit.
The pressure comes up faster.
I didn't really notice more boost, still around 13 max.
Maybe 800° exhaust pre turbo.
I was able to accelerate up hills that previously could barely hold my speed on.
I have a #12 button...
Caterpillar upgraded the oil cooler gaskets because they all leak. They also changed the high pressure oil line design a few times, also leaked. I've rebuilt a bunch of the 3116 and 3126 engines. Make sure you use anti seize on all bolts, especially the front cover.
It was a good engine. I liked...
Mine leaks just enough to see a stain on the plate. Doesn't ever drip so I haven't tried tightening it. I meant to remove and reseal it when I put the turbo on. I had the coolant drained, but I guess I was too excited and forgot. The block heater definitely makes a difference as does the turbo!
