I got a good deal on a heavy tow bar from Mike on Sunday a few years ago. Nobody wants to drag the heavy stuff home.
That weekend is my oldest sons birthday so I don't make it there usually. But it's fun to camp out and bs with everyone.
Our engines should all be cpl 26 cpl 544 or cpl 709.
Cpl 26 superseded by cpl 170
Nhct 270 cpl uses C timing code
Cpl 26 years 1974 and 1975 Rated engine speed changed from 2100 to 1950rpm. Field fix 20. 76SIB0-4
My 818 suspension should be the same as yours. I've ran chains on mine a couple times. They didn't rub anywhere. What kind of tensioner are you using?
Maybe you can run them loose on the inside and pull them farther to the outside.
I got a used manifold but this is the same one but new.

You 939 guys have a lot more room under the hood. I used the factory intake manifold. I wanted to keep my cold start.
Are you planning on bumping the pressure or changing the button? I have a couple of buttons to try out but haven't had a chance to do it.
I hope to get the stack on this week...

Changing the timing is not required.
I think it may make better power at a lower egt and make the engine last longer though.
I just got the turbo install finished. Took it for a ride.
Still 200 psi at pt pump and about 12 psi boost. EGT's stay a lot colder. And I kept it in 5th on a hill I normally would have dropped to fourth on.
I replied in an old thread about retarding the timing a degree or two. Upping the...
When my truck was hit. It pushed the frame forward under the cab, shearing the bolts. The bed was still bolted tight to the bent frame.
Your lucky you weren't in the truck when it was hit. That metal dash is hard on the knees!
They're not that tough. I was in a similar accident a few years ago. Rear ended by a 1 ton van. Bent axle, frame, rims. Broke transmission. A lot more speed though, they guy that hit me was going so fast that the rear of his van came off the ground. His windshield was in the bed of my truck...
Dug this old thread up.
I was thinking of reshimming my cam followers to get a little pushrod travel. Maybe a couple thousandths of an inch more to a NHCT270 spec or 290
I'd like to keep my pt pump pressure below 200# and also keep the egts down.
I know this has to be set with the dial...
My fuel gauges quit working too. One quit then the other a few months later. While I had the deck plates off I pulled one of the senders and found nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with the wires to the dash either. It turned it to be the little ground wires on the tanks to the frame. They...
I tried to get those publications from Cummins. No luck. Here's their response.

I had saved a set of 11:00-20's for my M348 but they would be way too close in the wheel well. So I'll stick with the 9:00's till I find 6 lug 22.5 rims for it.
I did put a couple on my m105 though.
That info is from here
