I tried the 939 speedometer adapter on my 818. At first it spun the wrong direction and only showed speed in reverse. I took it apart and flipped the output to the correct side. Now it shows speed going forward but is way too fast. Second gear winds out to 60 mph and I know that's impossible...
Just saw your location. You definitely get more snow than we do down here. We have 2 10' wide snow blowers that mount to the front of loaders but some years we don't even use them. A wing is very useful for benching. There's so much traffic around here I'm just waiting for someone to run into a...
The mount pins to the front bumper and the legs of it go under the front axle. The legs have L shaped ears welded on the go over the axle.
The mount is a L. The only pivot is where it pins to the bumper. The plow pins to the corner of the L, which when plowing, the legs push up on the axle...
My plow is mounted pretty close to the same as the pictures above. I have pushed snow till it comes over the 42" tall blade. Dug into the ditch when the road disappears and pushed rolloff dumpsters without hurting the truck. I did bow a plow by getting into an embankment.
You want it to pin to...

That's awesome. My flasher died a few months ago. Truck-lite makes the replacement but was unavailable from my local supplier. And was also very expensive if he could have gotten it.
I was wondering if I could gut the factory flasher and save the connector.
Thanks for posting.
I'm probably farther away than Ollie, but if he can't get to it let me know. I'll work on it for you or I have a buddy that's really good with specialty vehicles in Severn MD.
I have a hydraulic valve from a bulldozer. It's a 4 bank. Was blade up/down w/ float, blade angle, blade tilt, rear winch.
I'm using it as plow up/down/float, plow angle, wetline out the rear for my dump trailer and rear winch.
The valve has a main relief valve and the winch section has it's own...
Yep going hydraulic.
I made the spreadsheet from info in the Tm's and NSN descriptions.
I like the 939 series trucks, especially the brake system. But I wouldn't give up my 809 series with a manual trans!
A 939 bolster truck would be cool, I've never even seen a 815
Hey Jeff
I know I could swap the housings from side to side. But the input has to be on the back. If it sticks out the front it may interfere with 5th wheel trailers. The truck is really kinda short for this mod.
Still have that PTO for me?
Started working on it. Got a lot more to do. Hopefully this info will be useful to someone else too.
In using a front winch mounted behind my cab. I have to move the air lines, Pogo stick, and trailer wire connector.
I'm using some of the factory rack bracket and tying some new brackets into the...
