Dumping unfiltered WMO in your tank is absolutely not the thing to do. Not only will you plug up your filters, but you will shorten the life of the IP. WMO needs to be filtered very well before using.

You need to stop running the engine as you are undoubtedly causing damage, assuming you are correct about the rod knock. Pull the pan and see what you have. You will not normally see metal until you drain the oil. Read the TM.

You shouldn't run an A3 at 53 MPH. I don't take mine over 45. You are overspeeding the engine. I would recommend turning off the CTIS. Inflate the tires manually up to 60 PSI. The truck will drive much better and the death wobble will be minimalized.
