If it's not too late, add a few marker lights to the list, I only need the bases with the rubber part so the upper doesn't matter, color or otherwise. Have a great day! Thanks.
RE: Re: enclosing the genset
Patrick, you should compare the military version(s).
Other than that, I refuse to get submerged in this discussion, it could change one's life style. :-)
Did they offer you a job yet?
Re: RE: Fuel tank ground or lack thereof
No need to envy, there are a few out there that need to be saved from the scrapper or from being shipped to South America.
PS. The fuel tank in the image above is from an M52, it's not the original 80 gal aluminum tank.
As you know by now, the deuce fuel tank has one single ground connection from the frame, wire #79. It goes to the fuel pump connector, that's it. From there the grounding of the rest of the tank and level sending unit must rely on the mounting screws.
Working on the fuel tank for my xm757 I...
Thanks for those kind words Patrick. About the washers, I'm still looking for a source...
The shiny thing you see is the seal retainer. Leonard drilled two additional drain holes in it according to TM and pressed the seal into it, as can be seen in the images below.
In the interim....
Just happen to have a couple of pictures of Leonard's project from my visit last Fall. It is parked in a tight spot and not so easy to get an overall picture (Sept, 2006).
Nice install. Remember to get a filter wrench for it too. Could get a bit messy changing it since it will be filled at all times.
My attempt to do that installation was not so clean, way too much stuff in the way, the heater for one thing.
I'm always hurting for cash, how's $30 plus shipping? That's for all you see in the picture plus another fitting for the opening in the tube, I should have it somewhere.
If this is what you are looking for it's 29 inches long by 5 in outside dia.
(The support piece was cut off to better fit the picture....just kidding, me and my experiments...)
Hmmm...don't remember having any trouble with those, perhaps Leonard can comment, he did the real work on my seal replacement, I was just the helper.
Matt (FSBruva) did his a few days ago.
Not to be picky, but one reason MVs have vertical windshields is to reduce reflections from the sun, the HEMTTs must produce some reflections to say the least.
