    Magnetic oil drain plug

Removed one of the oil pan drain plugs from the LDS465-2 engine to drill and tap for a pipe plug to supply a preluber and found that they have a magnet attached..... (didn't pay attention to this detail when I changed oil several months ago). I have second thoughts about drilling it now, so...

    Question about AM1780.

RE: thanx Gurol, why not get a cable first, the CX-4723 will fit and can be had on ebay for about $10 or so most of the time. It will fit the connectors on the AM1780. The part number on the connector above is M55181/8-01 MW20F(M)D00.

    engine bearings for M35

Yeah Patrick, come on over and bring your recording system. :-) Funny, a long time ago I worked for Boeing Co in the acoustics lab and we had every thinkable recordnig device, a lot of Bruel $ Kjer (sp) equipment.

    engine bearings for M35

I too have had a knock for a while, which got worse along with the thinning of the oil from the fuel leak (FDC). I now have the oil pan gasket on hand, but would like to record the knock before proceeding. Ever since becoming acutely aware of the knock, I think it grows louder every time I run...

    Mermite can question

Is there a TM for this? I'd like to be able to transport the hot oil from the restaurant in a sedan, possibly the trunk, that steel garbage can doesn't seal and has made a mess in the Blazer cargo area....Hate to worry about having to make a sudden stop with the lid coming off.

    Dual EGT gauge

See, that's just it, it's on the highway when the gauges become critical, sort of like flying.

    Dual EGT gauge

You are right Kenny, but the idea is to monitor the two sections of the exhaust manifold for possible fault diagnosis, just knowing the temp at one place is much less informative.

    PM notification

Mike (mangus580), don't know if this is related to the new server or not, but I'm no longer notified of private messages received. Also, the default display of posts show the oldest one first, can these things be modified by me, the user or do you have to make these changes? Thanks,

    horn problems

When working with the assembly, make sure all brass and contact parts are free of dirt and oxidation, like I mentioned in another post, the horn button parts are very non-military in nature. FWIW, I have two horns, one air and one electrical on the 757 and I'll be adding a separate, military...

    XM757 Mystery numbers

The number above the glove compartment is 220-1-118. The number above the data tag is shown in the rubbings, but is somewhat hard to read. It could be B10 9-2320-230-90-1.
