Thanks Coug. On the Picture of the above Humvee the Winch wire is coming through a second bottom opening that the ECV Plate has, but the standard A2 Plate does not. Does that mean you have to cut a second hole? Also, do I need to use frame extensions on any Plate I decide to go with? Thanks!
Hello All. I want to add a Winch to the front of my M1045A2. I am looking for a Mile marker Winch Plate. The one that was installed by Coug is different than this one. Question is will it work on my buggy? Any opinions? Thanks in advance!
Wolfer has been saying things like 12K heavy duty shocks and gives the correct part numbers. That's how they got me. They did not say NOS, but they did not say aftermarket of 3rd party either. I was so happy they were replacing the shocks I gave them a small order. It's the two lights for the A2...
Good morning Gents, A number of months back I purchased a set of 12K shocks from Wolfer. When they arrived they seemed to be of good quality, but no part numbers were stamped on the top outer shock for me to tell front from back so I called them. The Gent told me that they took the high and low...
Hello Action. As always, thank you for the assistance. I downloaded the suggested manual and I still can't find it. Only the cable drive version. If you have time can you show me where I'm screwing up? Thanks!
Hello Gents. Anyone have the part number for the needed electrical harness and drive? I think I'm gonna do this, but can't find it in the TM's. Only the cable drive is listed from what I saw. Thanks!
I know I should know this, but could you send a pick and location of "the ground behind the dash?" Every time I see a grounding point I clean and coat it. I may have missed this one. Thanks!
I ran my Ground from the Shunt. I wanted to make sure I had the best Ground I could find. I picked up my hot from the Tow Missile controller circuit. Thought that was cool.
Just finished wiring my 2 Dome lights last night! Made my own wiring harness. Took way too long, but came out bad-ass. I can also switch from Green to white independently if I want. I'm controlling them through a Toggle mounted close to the Drivers Seat.
I never had an issue getting insurance in PA through Hagerty. The gent that bought my M988 was quoted more for not having a garage. I'm paying like $800 a year for $35K guaranteed insurance. If anyone has a better rate please let me know. Thanks!
Could be a chaffed wire. Get your meter out and check continuity to ground working backwards from the signal. Meters are our best friend and don't lie.
The technical schematics are at the very end of Technical Manual #3 I believe. And they cover all Trucks. They are also available here. Look at the Pinned Topics.
The biggest thing I miss on the M988 I sold is the soft doors. Driving that Truck with all doors off in 2 minutes is something I truly miss. Somedays when it was cool in the morning, but warm in the afternoon, when I got out of work I just took them off and put them across the tunnel and back...
Morning all. I want to switch out my one 24 bolt Rim. Only the Rim. The Tire is mounted on the old style 24 bolt rim and I want to switch it out to the newer style 24 bolt rim which I have, so I have all 4 that match. I do most of the work on my Truck myself, but have shied away from anything to...
