Like they stated above. Go through everything bumper to bumper. Replace anything questionable. Change the oil in everything no matter if it needs it or not. Grease everything else. Grease all the CV joints and replace the boots with new ones. If you can take spare half shafts, then do so. Flush...

Post #88 shows the manifold on an engine with just the holes drilled.
Post #170 has the finished manifold.
I don't really have any other pictures of it...
I have overheated mine while off roading. If I ride the brakes a lot going down hills at slow speeds it would over heat. I installed a PS cooler from a mid 90'schevy truck with a 6.5. If you put it in the tranny cooler in the rad, you will overheat it! You are introducing heat into the system...
3/8 NPT in the head. If you tried a 3/8 straight pipe thread it will be way too loose. Most gauges are 3/8 straight but come with the adaptor in the box.
If the metal line going down the transmission is still there try to reuse it. I tried rubber vac hose with out good results. I believe the metal line inside dia meters the vacume.
Yes, This pump provides vacume for the transmission modulator. Since the 6.2 has no throttle valve like a gas engine there is almost no vacume in the intake manifold. This pump provides the vacume and is piped into the valve on the IP then down to the vacume modulator on the passenger side of...
That is the vacume pump. You can rotate it any where you like but it is not adjustable. Your adjustment for the shift points is done with the valve mounted on the passenger side if the Injector Pump. The line from the pump should go to the I P Valve. Then down to the transmission.
I will be swapping the engine for a GEP 6.5 this winter. The rad will be going to a local shop to be taken apart and cleaned. I'm thinking it might be clogged a bit.I've seen Pics of Humvee scoops in Iraq. I haven't made one yet. But I'm a machinist so fabing one like in the pics looks like it...
Thanks for the info. I'm planning on swapping to a 180 thermostat and possible a lower temp switch for the fan. Possibly a hood scoop. Right now the fan runs more than not. I was wondering at what point the outside temp would make a difference. Since it hardly ever gets cold here .
