chuckling, in the video the guy was 'putting the pedal to the floor ' and was going 35mph, I guess the Dakar rally isn't going to happen in an LMTV
roflroflroflrofl
I found two things when I searched for roll over LMTV. one was a video of how you get into a roll over very easily.
https://youtu.be/ALJEyEL-JPQ
and then something about the cause and how not to roll over.
The Three Main Causes of Rollovers
So, if most rollovers aren't caused by external...
Im an not advocating against safety equipment. I am advocating against clone/poser/wannabe, which this thread is clearly about (as the title already lets onto). Safety equipment that is capable of actually saving ones life is very expensive. Something that doesn't entrap or impale the people...
What you said there , doesn't make any sense. I didn't say don't wear a seatbelt. I said that knowledge is important.
actually three things are important knowledge , skill and judgement. You got all these three together you are living the good life.
lacking one or two is what get you in trouble.
As the title suggests , this is only clone/poser/wannabe. Do some offloading in an LMTV first, learn how to drive off the street with an LMTV.
You'll fond out that you won't be able to get in sticky situations where the roll over cage is warranted.
The crushed cabs you see is due to too high...
I like the notion of safety too. Like learning how to drive a truck of the size of an lmtv and understanding the physics involved. Defensive driving works very well . And knowing how to use this vehicle off road and understanding its limitations is a perfect roll cage.
And check if there is a banjo bolt being used instead of a bolt.
i had both on my front wheel. A valve core behind the tire fitting and a straight bolt , where a banjo bolt should be
I decided to work on the CUCV I got a while ago and I noticed that the starter doesn't engage properly , I found out that some of the gears on the flexplate seem to be stripped.
There is a gear reduction starter installed a,d Now I al wondering if that could be the cause for the stripped gears...
If you had the means to do this kind of thing, you'd have done it already. And would just have posted pictures of the look of your new truck here. But its always nice to dream.
And no, I didnt think of doing that to my truck ever.
Because I do know how large of a figure it takes to pull this...
I agree with you and wasnt going to weigh in about it until I read your post. Anyone can spend as much money as they like on their truck and do 'upgrades' in any way they wish, as long as it isn't aimed to influence others and make false scientific claims.
Turns out the capacitors used are General Purpose Nichicon. I will get some new Low impedance capacitors . I'll got 20% above Voltage rating, so they should last longer.
two 47uF 200V (original was 47uF 160V).
and one 1000uF 16V (original 1000uF 10v)
I decide to use higher voltage ratings and...
Mine was for a A1 truck, So I imagine they implemented that for these units.
Yes the DDT is free, but you need a dearborn adaptor for it.
Then you can change tire pressure setting, interval of how many times the ECU checks the pressure, and above all can do diagnostics.
As i have done here
This is what the plug looks like (pardon the silicone remnants in the connector. I will throw the thing in the ultrasonic cleaner later.
All pins seem to be connected and also connected on the main PCB. So I assume that the diagnostic will work.
