That person probably never drove a truck of that size. If I hadn't been on the street with gearing on low and shifted in 1st gear, then i eouldnt even have tried. I think a deuce, or a MTV would be much better equipped for this. But luckily it worked out and nothing broke
I dont think i can agree to the statement of an LMTV being a "pulling machine" there are certainly better driveline configurations that work far better for this task.
An lmtv's classic mission is to carry light to medium loads.
Update: I bought the broken tool on ebay for $21 incl shipping. The box costs new over $3k I can't believe what dicks they are. I guess they have been too cozy ripping off our DoD and charge them for everything they replace.

The dome makes contact when its been depressed and closes the circuit. You solder the switch inbetween the two contacts. I have a spae ctis unit and have a go with installing some tactile switches. Maybe ill disect a transmission keypad too and see what i can come up with.

Don't bother buying a new gmtk-5 kipper tool box for thousands of dollars. They say there is a unlimited warranty on their tools, but if something breaks , they will give you the run around and nasty emails. SMH Learned my lesson there.
My LMTV to the rescue. The new neighbors got their moving truck stuck on the downhill slope. They called a tow company they couldn't do anything with their truck. But they had chains with them.

Yes , she's an lmtv. I wonder how they fail. I mean the construction seems simple. Unless the tube would leak or the donut brrak and fall off. I dont see how it would break.
