Oh yeah almost forgot.....Sporkius. No problem at all, i really enjoy these trucks and will gladly assist anyone, anytime in the pursuit of obtaining one or more knowledge to that end.
Well thanks guys . No thanks needed but they are appreciated. This is undoubtedly the best site on the web. You can actually be a nice buy and not get trampled here, its rather refreshing. Papabear i really have to meet you one of these days, fingers crossed for the GA rally :-) Dudley...
Welcome to the site, nice looking truck you scored there at a nice price. The MA contingent of this site is growing nicely. We all need to get together one of theses days.
So sad to see so much good stuff sitting like that. You wonder what some of these people were thinking. I have seen the old collections rusting in the weeds in orderly rows but most of that seems crammed in there hastily. If you are gonna pay for stuff why plop it in piles and leave it to...
I would think just about ANY MV would do better in the mud than a 5 ton dump. If you want a 5 ton at least go for the cargo. Cheaper, lighter and more common.
Good work :-) Glad to see the green iron out on display. Being here on the east coast my town is just a wee bit older  The 375th anniversary is next year and you can bet yer butt i will be there. If anyone wants to see some cool OLD pics from the east coast there are a bunch on the 375th...
 What is it with people and that dammned ether. Either it won't start cause it needs some tinkering or it does start, simple as that. A spray of boom in a can isn't the answer. That said i do use it sparingly around here as needed but 99% of the time is on gas engines where its far less...
WOW, who knew??? I take all the labels seriously and figured brake kleen was some nasty stuff just from the way it removes crud but WOW. Never imagined that it could be so lethal. I generally avoid the stuff if at all possible anyway but now you can bet i'll try ways a-z before i go for that can.
You may be a newbie but you are on the right track, that statement alone speaks volumes. You must have actually read something around here to come to that condlusion. We like newbies that actually read stuff around here.:-D
Thanks for the offer Sephirothq, if i had the cash and the time to go fetch anything that might be an option. But as funds are lacking i think i might take the long route, start collecting needed parts and get around to the fix sometime down the road. Afterall, i do have 2 other trucks that need...
Well, here are some pics. Can't figure where all the oil is comming from. Its EVERYWHERE, truck has a slight leak to the top tank of the rad and that sort of gets all over the place. So some slop on the underside of the hood has been normal, but not like this. Take a peek and let me know what ya...
Use the gauges for your personal info once you get the truck, anything they say from before that time is all speculative. No real way to verify if things are correct of off by 20K
There are a lot out there. I'm not sure the ones you are seeing on ebay but there are a lot of guys that seem to be smoking something when they put their starting bid. Massively overpriced trucks are a reality and there are apparently enough suckers that buy them for it to be justified. Don't be...
