i heard a hx35 is a nice upgrade and i think with a adapter or two it'll bolt to the manifold, i have a good one in my stash i removed from my 12v dodge that may find its way onto the multifuel some day
swapped out my transfer case by myself today and that was a pain, engine crane through the dr door to lower it to a dolly, now need to plumb the air shift control
my current deuce the air buzzer is dead and i haven't gotten around to fixing it (i do watch my gauges pretty sharp on any vehicle and even more on this thing) yet, the one we had at my old shop as soon as i started it id just switch off the power switch till it built air while it was warming up...
valve fundamentally screwed, not sure who copied the original design but they changed the internal/hardware dimensions enough that air does not effectively pass though, the retainer screw that keeps you from completely backing the valve core out seals the intake port off, some drill and lathe...
pipe to valve is clear as i vented the air system though it when i pulled the original valve while it was charged, shouldn't break this one now i know that little screw is inside. would've bought a hardware store valve if id known the $44 valve wasn't gonna work properly
"Are you turning it the...
my old valve was crudded up and i broke it taking it apart so i scored a NOS valve and this thing won't pass a fart, both motors are new and work fine off a bicycle pump hooked to the base of the windshield hose and i changed all of the rubber lines, it turns out but only blows enough to bubble...
yup and not critical to be anything but round and hold air reliably, i didn't think ahead and get 7 when i was buying the rims and tires, spare use is also why i am looking for a aluminum rim, i scaled my steel rim/new xzl/adapter/hardware/bead lock at 470# i might be able to get that close to...
i don't have much that anybody wants unless someone wants a 109a3 box or some functional 9" ndt's. i am on the look out for a single good 395/85/20 and or a aluminum mrap rim to go with it to use as a spare, or a deuce friendly bed, drop side would be nice but not vital
got one side front knuckle/bearing/brake serviced, that was less fun then i hoped and still have the other side to do, inner axle seal housing was a mother and my 12# slidehammer wouldn't budge it, broke a axle bearing puller trying after hosing it down with kroil and torching it as others...
yup, like my 109a3 has the top of the radiator smashed down and repaired and a healthy dent in the hood by the safety catch, would like a hood lift kit from BBQROD but he appears to not be around here any more or at least never replied to my PM
assembled the other 3 395/85s for a full set of 6...
didn't do em this week but finally got around to driving it with my new mirrors, scored them off a popular auction site for $50 delivered for the pair, mrap or something else modern, much better with the built in convex and not fading reflective material, they don't fit perfect but close enough...
i wanna hit the meet/greet swap friday if thats on, and ill will be watching when fat albert does the jato roll out whatever day thats on, beyond that i am down for amusement as i am taking my vacation to attend
