Congrats on your new truck, get some more pictures along the way & post them. Your unknown year may be fixed when you get the title from GL, unless it is totally lost except to the manufacturer.
Welcome to the Green Iron madness from Florida & enjoy your new found hobby! It seems like you have all your ducks in a row for the trip home, so post some pictures of your new gal so we can all share your enthusiasm. Remember to take pictures on the way home, to!
Your VIN # is located above the left front axel on the frame. It will probably be covered in paint or dirt & grime, a wire brush will aid in finding it!
Thanks for the pictures, hope you don't mind if I borrow some of your ideas; especially the locking gas cap & spar varnish refinished troop seats. That wood really lends itself to a personal touch.
That said, I picked up an M105A2 trailer this weekend to add to the Deuce collection.

Great looking truck, with all the repairs done beforehand; that's the way to start a recovery successfully. Good luck with your trip & enjoy every mile of it!

She looks really good cleaned up & ready to roll again! Congratulations on your recovery!
Pictures as promised! Sorry for the double posts, I was removing one doubled picture, when it posted twice. Might be from the anesthesia I got loaded into me this morning for a scopy procedure. I was brought back to work after the procedure & then given a ride home, since they wouldn't let me...
I took her to work this morning to everyones surprise. Management thinks I am certifiably nuts, but secretly most of them really like it. Pictures after I get back from running to the Drs office.
I went over my new Deuce, after recovering her from North Georgia yesterday. This truck was well maintained by somebody in the military, because she needed a little bit of brake fluid in the master cylinder & a lot of diesel fuel in the tank to get her home (420 miles), that is it. The mirrors...
