Thanks Doghead, for your research. SAEJ512 type is correct in 3/4 thread, 1/2 in tube 45 deg. An adapter, inv flare male to barbed 1/2 hose would be ideal. I remember them from the 70's hot rod days and you could walk into real auto parts stores and pick them up but the wax stores nowadays don't...
Remember the old Chevy cars that had a metal fuel line threaded into the fuel pump down on the engine and it ran up and threaded into the carburetor. That is an inverted thread male nut that is on the metal tubing. Thread is inverted flare and I'd different than non etc.The line / fitting I need...
Great idea Eagle. I have been hunting that fitting/line for a while now with no luck at all. I think it is 1/2 tube o.d.x 3/4-18 inverted flare thread. I even thought about brazing the pump up and re threading it in 3/8 pipe, something I can get fittings for.
Anyone have a source for the large fuel line that comes out of the pump at the tank?. Looks like 1/2 or bigger steel line with a large inverted male fitting. So far can not find .
That's what I thought as well. I didn't know the air switch was on there until last night. I switched out the tail lights with the new led models but have been looking for brake lights with no air pressure in the system. I'll air it up and see if they come on tonight, I bet they...
I already have the air switch upgrade and have no brake lights. Does the truck have to be running, with air pressure before the lights will work since the retro switch is in the airline now?.
I'll jumper it out tomorrow and see what I get. On these new led taillights there is a separate ground terminal wire not found on the OEM lights. I attached the new ground wire under cleaned light housing mounting bolt. All of the lights work except stoplight. I have the newer pushbutton dash...
Thanks for the picture Dog.Everything works except the stoplights. The old lights did not have separate ground wires like the new LEDs do. I attached to the housing to frame bracket.
I just replaced my stock rear lights with the led models and now my stoplights don't come on. Anyone run in to this?.What # wire is the stop light wire so I can see if they worked before the swap.Thanks.
