I'll take it if you want to part with it. How much did the new one cost that you are getting? My old one was broken but I disassembled a chrome one from LMC and put the guts in my black one. It looks stock but the inner part is still chrome. You can't tell when it is closed.
One of the big problems is that most of the blazers and suburbans used an electic window regulator. Finding a manual one is tough and like I said, in Michigan the older vehicles usually do not sit in the junk yard too long.
If no one on the site has an extra then I can try car-part.com and...
Maybe in TX but in MI they are usually sent to the crusher since the trucks are usually rusted away. They also don't have enough of a need for older parts so instead they strip what they can then crush the rest. Window regulators are not on the top of the want list.
I tried classifieds with no results. I almost have this thing ready for the road and I need a rear window, the regulator assembly, and the outside window crank (even if it is broken).
Thanks
Chuck
RE: Front parking lights
I had thought the biggest problem was the bulb being only a one filament bulb. I have not checked this out myself. Can someone confirm if the stock deuce front parking and turn signal light is a dual or single filament. I figured this was why the parking lights did not...
RE: Re: How do I convert my 10k to run on Natural gas?
Thanks for the link Ken. I was looking at the same site but never found that page. I find the site kind of hard to navigate.
RE: Re: How do I convert my 10k to run on Natural gas?
I was looking over a website and it seems the propane needs a regulator for high pressure LP and it is not needed for low pressure LP or natural gas. I also found a place that makes an adaptor plate that allows you to run on gasoline or...
I will try to hook you up this weekend. I looked mine over today and one spring I see is the return spring for the choke control. Other than that I am not sure of any other springs. There is a spring on the govenor control lock knob. You just need the picture from the top of the carb, right? If...
Mike,
Where did you get your propane carb? If I had a propane I think it is just a small step to convert to natural gas. I plan on getting a dual kit for my small gen but if I can get the big one to run off the natural gas I will give up my plans on the small one.
Next gen question. I want to use my 10k as a back up gen for the house. I have heard that some people have converted them to natural gas. I want to convert mine to accept natural gas and still be able to run gasoline. I have looked at a couple of websites and they mostly have kits and...
RE: Re: RE: What oil filter for 10kw MEP-018a with a spin on
Yea I got it started. I just need to get new batteries, change the trans filter, fill the trans, and fill the radiator. The glow plug relay was fried but after I replaced it with one I had it worked great. How was the color trip up north?
RE: Re: RE: What oil filter for 10kw MEP-018a with a spin on
I may part one but I have not made that decision yet. As of now I plan to get both of them running. I will let you know if I start parting out one.
I still have yet to pull the batteries and try to charge them. I have two 6tl's from my new cucv and four from the gens. They all seem pretty dead. The 6tls are showing about 1.25 volts each. I have a newer computer controller charger and it will not charge dead batteries. It will just give you...
My deuce also is painted under the hood with 15W40. The oil looked good on pickup from DRMO so I have not changed it yet but will change with with rotella in the next month or so. With the 15W40 I get about 50 psi on start up and it stays in that range but does drop a little on idle after it has...
