How do I get rid of canvas mildew smell?

The smell you are smelling is likely the preservative that they use to make them last and resist water. Even a brand new canvas tent has that wonderful fragrance. Some folks here would pay for that smell. I really miss my canvas GP Medium.

    CUCV-II/CUCV2 won't start

Are you sure? He has 3 CUCV IIs, 3 crew cabs and only 2 duallys. He needs to either add a dually or convert one of the crew cabs to be in compliant with the 3 3 3 rule. If he sells one, the balance will be well off kilter.

Yeah, I need to up my inventory of cards, my last spare was pressed into service. JW, maybe a piece of fiber optic so that you can run the emitted light up to the dash. LOL

If you can improve the design, there is a market for sure.

    CUCV-II/CUCV2 won't start

PMDs are very finicky and usually the source for hot start and no start issues. I always carried a spare when I had my K3500. Anytime I had issues I would swap out the PMD before any troubleshooting. It was the problem 99% of the time. Sadly they are not $40 items.

Enough of the countinuous counting Count. Now, if my count is good, and I'm sure it is, we have 309 days and counting to the GA Rally.

Cool project. Wish you were on the east coast, that's a nice cab you have for sale.

    14 bolt carnage.

Doug, is there any spindle damage or is it just the flange that the backing plate bolts to?

    flatbed military trailer

I've yanked my M1008 all over the place on the towbar without any negative results. While I don't remove the driveshaft, I do remove the rear axleshafts. I have steel block off plates and can swap them out in 5 minutes with my batt powered impact. I would much rather do this than crawl around...

Hmmm, 33.1 miles up Blanding Blvd. Will you have room on the way back?

Thinking maybe the bolts holding the backing plate worked loose.

Gathering mode right now but I'm planning to build a CUCV wrecker. Nothing too fancy, mostly a yard truck unless I get carried away.

Good day folks, Is there anyone of you fine members that might be able to pick up 14 Bolt Chevy truck rear axle and hold it until I can figure out a way to get up there? It's pretty close to the I95 / I295 junction in the Southside area. May be a couple of days before it's ready, sending a money...

    angry at my Cucv

I would also consider the current fuels and rebuilders. Todays fuel is very dry. Stanadyne is probably compensating for this with updated rebuild kits but I'd think many rebuilders are using up old stock first. Try adding a lubricity formula.
