the only way to test for HP increases in our trucks is to use the same piece of road and stay in the same gear. the way I used to do it with my deuce is to cruise at 45mph in 5th gear and accelerate up to 55.
this way you take shifting out of the equation.
this is a know issue. the kit is not power steering. it is air assist. you dont want to be able to turn the tires while stopped on concrete. it puts enormous stress on the front end that it really doesn't need.
any more than 2100 rpm's for any long period of time will result in major engine damage.
if you speed you bought the wrong truck. you can go faster with bigger tires but you will soon lose speed on the hills as the larger tires take much more torque to pull.

BTW these are the only 3 I've usually seen on deuce winch's.
These are nice and I've used them on occasion but I had 2 racing trucks engines get saved this past winter when their freeze plugs popped out after very cold nights.
I also have not seen any consensus on weather or not to use sealer but my suggestion is that you've already tried it with sealer...
try cleaning the hole very good and not using anything on the freeze plug. thats the way their supposed to be installed unless you have damage to the hole.
