I thought they take studs and nuts like the 5tons. The trailer has duals now. I am in no rush I have never driven my tractor with a trailer on it. I have never driven anything with a 5th wheel trailer on it. I am in no
rush.
I dont see how it hurt GL with trucks going cheap it was my understanding that they only give the gov a small percentage of the final price. It is reflected on the SF97 documentation. If GL lost the truck contract to Ironplanet beginning in 2015 it would be in their best interest to push thru as...
After turning up the power a bit I changed both fuel filters I did seem to make a difference with the new filters. The old filters looked ok when I took them out. As much as I would love to put big injector and a larger turbo on a 5-ton I think it would significantly decrease longevity.
From the looks of the condenser the kit you have is for the 915 916 920 trucks it has a bracket kit for the cummins big cam motor in it. The humvee AC kits have a different compressor mount kit and the condenser is slightly different.
I have front mount condensers made for the 5-ton or you could probably take the condenser out of its frame and front mount it. Looks nice I never though of mounting the head how you did it.

If you smelled something melted and burnt chances are something melted and is burnt. I would check the alternator and all the wiring to make sure it didn't rub thru somewhere and you have a short. You bypassed the fuel solenoid by turning the knob screw by the pump. It is possible that the pcb...
Be careful. If the abs does not kick in, in a slide condition, with your foot on the brakes and the wheels not turning the drivetrain can stall the engine before the torque converter unlocks. If this happens you will loose power steering.
I personally don't like the Hellas alternators. I had one in my tractor I swapped it with another truck I had before I sold the other truck. After replacing the regulator that is.
Not that I know of. It may clear itself over time. I only know a little bit from playing around with the system on my trucks. The mil alternators are very unreliable and the abs ecu is very voltage sensitive it's a bad combination. A good voltage regulator would solve the issue there are cheap...
The diode is simply for protection. The abs ecu should have a voltage regulator before it this would better protect the ecu. The light can be on with a stored fault code you need a reader to clear it. But you cannot expect the abs to function properly with the light on. I have new abs ecu's...
I won this contraption it is an STE ICE diagnostic set. I think it is for the FMTV's but not 100 percent sure. It has a PC interface box but no PC. Does anyone know anything about this set.
Thanks

You need the newer style flasher. The older style will flash led rears but not led front signals. They are widely available online and easy to install.
