You need new upper spur gears in your Geared hubs for starters...
unless your your doing serious off reading, there is no need to change up to 12k HS. Just make sure you install newest style 10.3k
then while off roadong, learn to BTM correctly so you don't snap a shaft.
While we are on the topic of "wheeler sealer". They do the build sheet at the end of the show on the there vehicles, that's where I always get a laugh, especially on labor hours. Making a profit of $500.00 seems to excite them.
also, IIRC, they list labor hours spent, but not the cost of that...
Lather, rinse, repeat...its Hollywood. Look guys, you would never watch a single show of this type if they didn't make it all "peaches and creeme" to the average viewer, the only show that probably ain't full of BS is "Cops", as they film day to day operations and just edit the offensive stuff...
Bring a spindle nut with you...the autozone version looks like one I have, but I had to remove 2 of the teeth to make it work.been using it for 20yrs....
This thread is hilarious. I watched this episode a week or so ago, it was hilarious, at least to me, but having done my fair share of movies and commercials, you would know how much of this is scripted.
If you never knew about hmmwv's for sale, this would lead you to believe you can just walk...
the chassis on these m1123's are all 12k components, they are identical to my M1097A2. Probably an ECV chassis, definitely not REV...but that's obvious. 12k hubs, halfshafts, larger rotors, frame rails are beefier.
Best bet is to find out what years the M1123 was produced, these have the first...
Also, you have to be real careful on the model years, there have been plenty of m998's sold at GP that are data plated as 2004 and later and they are just a 6.2, 3 spd truck. Data plates are just like speedometers in the military, though not as bad. If the DP was missing or was removed and lost...
All bets are off for any hmmwv having gone through reset...depot rebuilt motors should have rebuild tag from that base.
there is no hard and fast though, generally the easiest way to tell if you have a rebuilt motor is if the entire motor painted black. On non-rebuilt motors the intake manifold...
The Cleve's pin come off, the C-clip comes off, then pull the cable forward till the small internal cable lines up with the cutout on the caliper ebrake mounts....
I çant see a single reason for anyone to need a 400amp gen in a hmmwv for civ use.
if anyone other then me has ever worked on a 400amp equipped truck, they know you can't even change your fuel filter without removing the generator from the truck....so stupid of a design.
The 60amp is more then...
Really? People are paying 14k and more for 6.2 equipped trucks, the M1123 is not only 6.5NA but 4L80E equipped along with full 12k chassis and running gear. They are worth 20k without a motor. People want to whine about GM 6.5 but disregard there are millions of them in use worldwide. 99.9% of...
From what I've seen, they are Melton rebuilds, GM motor. Does not mean they might not have a GEP motor, but unless I see the decal on the valve cover, all bets are off.
